Umbreon-Bold-Toxitrapper/Tank
252Hp
128 Def
130 Sp Def
Wish
Mean Look
Baton Pass
Toxic
I'd replace Baton Pass with Protect, to aid since it really has no buffs to Pass to the next pokemon, and with wish, you can freely change to the next pokemon while still receiving the effect. If you don't want Protect, invest in an attack, or you'll find yourself in trouble against Steel Types (who often know Fighting Type moves).
Milotic-Bold-Wall
84 HP
252 Def
12 Speed
106 Satk
56 Sdef
Surf
Ice Beam
Recover
Hypnosis
I'd replace Hypnosis with Calm Mind. Hypnosis for one is innacurate, and Calm Mind will boost your already daunting S.Def and aid in turning 2HKO Surfs and IceBeams into OHKO's. Also, I like to replace Recover with Rest. It's Full Restore-esque quality allows you to use it later in battle as opposed to Recover's use at half health. Also, putting yourself to sleep gives you Milotic's nice Marvel Scale ability, making a nice tank with retaliatory S.Atk from Calm Mind.
As for a mixed sweeper, I'd prefer Infernape given these movesets. Far more accurate (with the exception of Stone Edge). However, I like Infernape more as a Physical Sweeper; by replacing Grass Knot and Stone Edge with Thunder Punch and Earthquake, you can still cover your Water and Flying Weaknesses, but with 100% accuracy, taking luck out of the picture for Stone Edge.
Also: I'f you'd like a Baton Passer (judging by your use of tanks) might I suggest Gorebyss? Amnesia + Iron Defense is the way to go. Simply shift this onto Umbreon, and when the time comes (if you keep Baton Pass) shift them onto Milotic! Chain Tanking is somewhat difficult to coordinate, especially if your opponent has a (pseudo)-Hazer (Grrr @ Skarmory) but it can seriously take a toll on an opponent who uses solely damaging moves.

thanks, i'll do that for umbreon and milotic, but i already have a physical sweeper in dragonite, so i'll keep infernape mixed.
what about my empty slot?

sorry for the double post, but i still need help with my team?

The team is balanced for 6vs6 battles, but who do you pick to take into the Battle Tower? (Namely, 3vs3 battles) The reason I ask is, while Milotic can somewhat pick up where your Umbreon may leave off (assuming you got Toxic to land) and your 3 Sweepers are left to do what they do best, I'm having a hard time finding any switch-out combos (other than perhaps Gardevoir sticking a Burn, then Tanking them to death).

well are there any new memebers i could add to my team who would give combos?
i'm really just worried about getting the last slot sorted

That makes 6...
Other than that, I highly suggest Weaville, or at the very least, a sweeper with a Dark type attack.
Take for instance the following Froslass:
-ShadowBall
-Psychic
-Ice Beam
-Destiny Bond
With your current movesets (Namely, the "un-attackability" of Umbreon), a pokemon as fast, STABed, and "imbued" (item-wise, EV trained, natured) as Froslass could take out a vast majority of your team. Ice Beam to Dragonite, Shadowball to Gardevoir, Psychic to Infernape, and Destiny Bond to either of your Tanks. You need someone fast enough to take it out. Weighing its weaknesses of Ghost, Dark, and Fire, I really only find Weaville to be adequate. Gengar runs a close 2nd, but being Ghost type, it runs the risk of being ShadowBalled.

Just throwing this up in the air...
Staraptor | Adamant, holding leftovers or Shell Bell
-Brave Bird
-Close Combat
-Return / Giga Impact
-U-turn / Steel Wing / Swagger
Sure, he's got a weakness to Ice, but he's got the flying type move your team is missing, a fighting type move to turn the tables on Ice/Steel/Rock, and U-turn for dilemmas and even Ghost-Type problems like Frosslass.
Plus he's a mean phys. sweeper, something I personally think your team could use another one of (just in case Dragonite won't work).

Other than cheating, would someone like to tell me how Milotic learns Calm Mind?
magentaman
06-02-2007, 09:09 PM
it doesn't he just said it did so i assumed it did.
the team is in the theoretical stages at the moment,
thanks for pointing that out
i'm thinking of replacing gardevoir with lucario, what do you think?

Huh, guess it can't learn Calm Mind; learn something everyday! My apologies, but that can rather easily be worked around. Teach is Lightscreen / Reflect / Haze. Each is good for different situations, so choose wisely:
Lightscreen- Being water type, Milotic has only 2 weaknesses, Electric and Grass. The majority of these moves as well as these types of Pokemon are geared in S.Atk. Lightscreen will cut the "super-effectiveness" of these moves by 50%. Allowing you to retaliate with Surf or IceBeam.
Reflect- Like Lightscreen but less practically used for Milotic. Your Def is significantly lower than your S.Def so Reflect may come in handy when an Earthquaker or Giga Impacter comes along to take you out. Also, the nice thing about both Reflect and Light screen is, you can switch out and the walls will remain up. However, you could quite easily raise your defenses without the aid of Reflect by Resting to activate Marvel Scale (not to mention, fully healling you).
Haze- Yeah, it's an Egg move, but it's priceless against Buffers and BPers. The time may come when someone will begin to stock up on Nasty Plots or Sword Dances against your Milotic. Haze will reset all of those changes, making them completely wasted, and hopefully giving Milotic some free hits with Surf and Icebeam.

thanks, and what about lucario?

Both Gardevoir and Lucario make way above average Special Sweepers, but between the two, I'd go with Lucario. Here's why:
Gardevoir has greater S.Atk, no doubts there, but it's base Spd is somewhat lacking and it's fairly difficult to face only slower pokemon when sweeping. On top of that, Gardevoir has no means of getting up to speed, like Rock Polish or Agility (Unless you want to go with trick room, but that could work to a disadvantage if your opponent brings out a lumbering Tank...)
Lucario may be slightly weaker in S.Atk, but has a base Spd of 90, capable of exceeding 300 with a favorable nature. Also, you can quite easily fix the weaker S.Atk with Calm Mind.
Timid @ Focus Sash / Something else...
-Calm Mind
-Psychic
-Aura Blast
-Water Pulse / Flash Cannon
You'll most llikely be hunted down by one of three weaknesses; Fire, Ground, and Fighting. Luckily, after a Calm Mind (Focus Sash helping to keep you alive), Water Pulse should take down most Fire and Ground types while Psychic eliminates the often Slow and weak in S.Def Fighting types. Aura Blast is always nice (and rather exclusive). Being half Steel type makes you somewhat resistant to a bit of everything (Grass, Bug, Dark[a lot], Ice, Rock[a lot], Dragon, Steel, etc.) so feel free if confident enough to swap out that Focus Sash. Play your cards right, and Lucario can be quite deadly.

Well if you go with Blissey, you could have
Blissey-Leftovers
Charm
(if he can learn it) Psychic
Earthquake
Calm Mind
____________
Earthquake, along with a few Calm Minds, could level an Infernape or Blaziken, and a Psychic could level all other Fighting Pokemon.

I think you should take Lucario out, but that is just me. i think lucario is a little bit over rated, and since u already have a infernape, its better not to have lucario. a good pokemon then i really like is snorlax. he is a lil slow, but his def, att, and hp are extremely good and you can teach him the elemental attacks so he doesnt have a weakness. bronzong is also a great choice since he is a psychic pokemon with good attack, but he also has high hp and def at the same time since he is steel type. and my final change, only since i like this pokemon more then umbreon, i think u should switch umbreon with weavile, that way you get the dark and ice, and weaviles stats can be a lil bit better then umbreon. thats all i got as of right now though, hope this helps :)
