fishing in twighlight princess

okay i just bought twighlight princess for wii and i can't figure out how to fish, i'm sure i've been using the right controls but it won't say FISH ON

Just pull the wiimote back like your bring in a fish.

you have to go to a pplace where there actually is fish, before you fish look at that water, if you find some fish then when you fish it'll say fish on.
