The Region is a well varied landscaped area called Kiyro. A small town known as Rockpool is where it all begins. The town is home to the youthful and hot professor Maple. She runs a pokemon lab where trainer can get a starter. While there are three unique common starters to the land young trainers can choose whatever they want. Two young people are about to begin their journeys.

The buzzer of the alarm clock went off, half pulling the skinny little girl out of her sleep. She groaned and pulled the pillow over her head. Now was not a good time to get up. She didn't want to get up, so it made it not a good time to get up. She rolled over and right on top of her sister's Sandslash. She remained in the fuzz of sleep for about half a second more, before she realised what had happened.

YEOWCH! That hurt. She pushed the creature out of her bed. "When I tell my sister that she's not welcome in my room it extended to her pokemon." The creature moved out of the room, muttering and chattering. "O-U-T I said." The girl repeated. "And I meant every word of it. So scoot." She pushed it out of her room with her foot.

After today she would no longer have to deal with her sister, or that mangy thing she dragged home with her. She would have her own pokemon, and she would be away from home. She grabbed her bag, which she had packed the day before, and ran downstairs.

"Hey mum." She said as she grabbed a fresh cheese bun off the tray that her mother had just taken out of the oven. She bit into it and grabbed another two. "I'm off to the lab to get my pokemon." She said with her mouth full.

"In your Pyjamas Kippo?" her mother asked, raising an eyebrow.

"Of course not." Kippo said putting two of the buns on her bag and taking the third, bitten, one with her as she ran up the stairs. She grabbed her only non packed outfit off the floor and sniffed it. It didn't smell too funky so she pulled it on, leaving her PJs on the floor. She then ran to brush her hair. After that it was back down the stairs, grab another two buns and after putting them in her bag out the door.

She skittered around the corner of the block and ran down the street. By the time she got to the lab the twelve year old was puffing and panting. "Hi professor." She said as she walked into the lab. "I brought you some of my mum's cheese buns. They're still warm." She handed him two of the buns as she walked up to look at the pokemon for the taking. She looked at them. "Hmmmm." She said. "Clampearl no..." She kept on walking. "Skitty." The thing hissed at her.
"No." She said leaping back. Then something caught her eye. A flash of red. "Vulpix." She said. She looked at the little Vulpix, she noticed that only its little top notch of hair was the classic Vuplix red, the rest was a deeper red, almost a black. One paw looked as if it had been stepped in with milk.

"I'll take that one." She said, pointing the the oddly coloured Vulpix.

The professor nodded and shoved some paperwork in her face. "Fill these out." He said.

She looked at it and began to fill it out in her general illegible scrawl.

Then she looked at her new partner. "Nickname." She said. "Well what do you think little girl?" The vulpix tilted her head. "Pix?"

"Portia." She finally said, naming the new pokemon after her favourite Shakespearian character.

"Come on Portia, let's go." she added and walked out of the lab. She decide that she would not make the Pokemon always stay in a pokeball, at least not until the bonding was done. She wanted her Vulpix to trust her.

"So Portia, were to first?" She said as she stood on the edge of town.

Tyler Birch woke up late that morning and ran down stairs and saw that his dad (who was the professor of the hoenn reagon) was all ready to go out to do field work.
" Your late you know!!!" His brown bearded father anounced with a smile.
"I Know I'm going now. i hope that there will be some left for me!" Ty said as he collected all his belongings and shuving them all into his backpack.
"Well if there isn't then your out of luck son." Said his father putting on his white lab coat.
Ty was half way out the door when he dropped his bag spilling everything all over the doorway. He bent down to pick everything up in a mad rush.
" Well I'm off!" announced his dad.
"OH! I almost forgot." He said stepping over his son in the door way on his way out.
"I just got off the phone with Professor Maple and he Told me what pokemon were left, and let me tell you you wouldn't like them that much. So here." He finished as he threw a blue and black pokeball to Ty. Ty had just finished putting his bag on when the shiny ball flung at him.
" Enjoy!" Yelled his dad who was already half way down the street. Ty just starred at the ball in amazment.
" I'll call you later dad." Ty yelled back. Professor Birch stopped and turned around.
" Okay, but you should still go see Professor Maple! You have stuff to fill out." Ty then through the ball, a Bright white light flashed and there sat a white colored pokemon in a rain of sparkles.
It was an Eevee. Ty was speachless.
"Okay lets go Eevee!" Ty said as they started off to Professor Maple's lab. They arrived at the lab and filled out all the forms.
"Good luck on your journey Ty. And say Hi to your dad for me!" Shouted the Professor as Ty and Eevee as they ran out of the lab.
"OKay i will and thanks." They continued to the edge of town where they spotted a Girl and a very pretty vulpix.

"Pix?" Asked Portia when she saw the young boy and his pokemon.

"Vulpix!" she squealed happily and bounded up.

"Whoa there Portia." Kippo said. "It's another trainer. Maybe he can join us on our journey. What with the teams roving about in pairs, it would be much safer that way." She told her pokemon. "However we must challange him first. That's what tainers do."

"Pix vul?" Portia looked up at her trainer.

"Yes, we are going to battle them, then ask them to come with us on our journy."

"Piiiix!" Vulpix exclaimed excitedly.

Kippo turned to face the boy, she studied him. He had a white eevee, rare.

"New?" She asked him. "Me too. How about a freindly battle to test out our new partners?" She asked him. "It would be tons of fun."

"Sounds good to me!" TY said to the girl as he glanced down at the vulpix.
"Ee eevee!" Exclaimed Ty's pokemon.
"Thats the spirit Eevee! Okay lets go." Ty backed up a little bit to make space between the two trainers and his white eevee jumpped in front of him ready to battle.

She puased, trying to remeber what moves the creature came with. Then she grinned.

"Portia!" She said. "Ember!" She told her pokemon. She watched her opponent to see what he would do.

Portia leapt forward and shot an ember attack at the Eevee.

"Good job Portia! That's my girl!" Cheered Kippo. "You can do it!"

Eevee was hit with the spiraling ember. He took the damage, but was still standing.
"It's okay eevee!" Ty stopped and thought a second.
"Alright Eevee, use dig!!"

Kippo waited, listening. She knew that there wasn't much she could do about dig. "Okay, Portia." She said to her pokemon. "Blow Ember on the ground, make it hot." She said. "She noticed that there was dry grass around, only in this area, it wouldn't spread or cause trouble. Just be usefull in battle.

"NOW!" She added. Portia blew ember on the dry grass and it caught alight. She knew that her fire type wouldn't have trouble in the flames, but she wasn't sure about the Eevee that they were facing, it would most likely be hindered by the fire.

Eevee shot up and made contact with the Vulpix. but it landed in a vast amount of flames.Eevee became burned. It quickly jumped back and out of the flames. It winced as it took damage from the burn.
"Quickly Use Quick Attack and follow it with Shadow ball!!" Ty shouted.

Portia was knocked off her feet by the dig attack. However she still managed to pick herself up and turn to face the Eevee. Her tail was held high as she watched it. Waiting silently for it to attack. But first had to come a command from her trainer.

Kippo surveyed the battlefeild, thinking about what to use next, how to use an opponent's moves against them. Howe to win this fight quickly. Quick attack, a pokemon could be sent flying and stunned if they were countered during that attack.
"Hit him with tail whip as he attacks." She said, then thought again. "And shoot a Ember at the Shadow Ball attack, counter it like that."

Eevee ran tword the vulpix and noticed that the foe had spun around with its tail flared out.

"Eevee! Quick stop the attack." Ty shouted.

"Shadowball NOW!" Eevee threw its head back as it skidded along the dirt, and conjured a
shadow ball. Eevee released the shadow ball and it went flying twords the vulpix.

The Vulpix's raging ember attack collided with the shadow ball and cancled eachother out.
the shock from the two attacks sent Ty's pokemon flying backwords right to Ty's feet.
The small white pokemon managed with all its strenght to stand up.

Portia also went flying and landed at her trainer's feet. With a slight groan she stood up and shook herself off. She then turned to face the Eevee.

Kippo saw that it had also gone flying, knocked of its feet by the force of the cancelling attacks. It seemed to have very little strength left. One attack should be able to finish it off. The only problem was as a brand new pokemon Portia only knew to attacks. And only one ever was good for offensive. But with the grass burning the way it was it should work. Just one last attack, that was all she needed.
"Finish it off with Ember!" Kippo told her pokemon.

"You've got enough in you." She paused. "Use the fire in the grass to your advantage." she added.

Portia charged forward, running through the flames of the grass. Then she crouched low and opened her mouth to send out one last Ember attack, the attack sped through the grass, picking up momentum and getting bigger.

"That's it!" Kippo said jumping in the air with excitement.

Eevee saw the vulpix charging twords it. In a last attempt to save itself Ty's eevee reached
out it's scorched paw and started to scrap at the ground in front of it.

"NO! Eevee, DODGE IT!!" But it was no use, Eevee's attempt to evade the unforgiving rush of flames failed. Ty watched in despare as the white eevee was engulfed in Vulpix's ember attack.

The attack faded and there laid the scorched eevee. It's coat blacken with ash.
"Oh no! Ty ran to his pokemons side. He quickly unzipped his back pack and took out a fullheal. He picked up his pokemon and walked across the way to Kippo and her vulpix.
Ty reached out his hand and announced,

"Good battle!" with a big smile.

"You weren't half bad yourself." She told him with a grin. As she talked she reached into her bag and pulled out a couple of oran berries. She put them down infront of Portia, who quickly ate them. "You seriously had me worried." She told him. "You're a good battler, and would have won on an empty feild, Portia and I were just lucky about the grass being dry." she looked at the flames, which were now dying. She paused.

"I'm Kippo and this is my partner Portia." She said. "Who might you be?" She then asked holding out a hand.

Portia walked up to Eevee and sniffed him delicatly, all six of her black tails wagging.

"Vulllllpix!"

Ty shook her hand.
"I'm Tyler Birch, but my friends call me Ty. And you already know Eevee."

"We were about to start for the next town, would you like to join us? We could use the extra company. Plus your a great battler it would be good to have you and Vulpix around!"

Ty looked down at his Eevee.
"Isn't that right Eevee?" He said to his pokemon hoping for a good responce.

"EEE EEEVVEE!!" cryed the little white pokemon as it jumped up and down in excitement.

Kippo grinned. Then tilted her head. "Birch?" she asked blinking rapidly at him. "As in the Professor?" She said. She laughed. "It seems we have more in common than I realised." She smiled.

"I'm Kippo Maple." She said. "And no Professor Maple isn't my mum." She smiled. "She's a bit to young for that. She my elder sister. My elder brother is on the Elite four." She paused. "And my other sister rescues pokemon that are abused." She sighed. "And my little sister drags every stray she finds home."

"So what's your family like?" She asked. "Did the craziness of home drive you to take to the Challenge." She said. "Or was it family pressure?"

"Wow! Thats quite the family you got there. Very impressive." Ty said with an amazed face.

"As for why i started my journey, I want to become a Professor like my father, and a breeder like my mother. And, the first step is being a trainer!" Ty's face suddenly became serious as he looked down at the ground.

"You see my mother was a well known breeder in Kanto, Johto, and Hoenn. She was known for breeding Dark and Water pokemon. She also was very lucky when it came to obtaining shiny pokemon like my Eevee here." Ty explainded giving his Eevee a smile.

"But a horrible thing happend to my father and I. You see my mother went on a trip to an unknown chain of islands to do some bussiness there. But, on her way there the ferry she was taking was caught up in a terrible storm." Ty paused for a second as he collected his thoughts.

"They never found the ferry or anyone that was on it. Only a bag, which belonged to my mother. Inside was this pokeball." Ty reached into his pocket and pulled out his eevee's blue and black pokeball.

"This eevee is the last thing me and my dad have of my mother. Thats why me and Eevee will make sure we are a number one team. We'll make mom proud right Eevee?"

"EEVEE!" rejoyced the small pokemon. Ty smiled.

"Well anyways that enough about me. How about we head to the next town Kippo?"

She looked at the eevee. "I'm sorry to burst your bubble but your pokemon isn't shiney." She said. "Just like mine isn't." She paused. "It's like nothing I've ever seen." She paused then looked at him. "It's far lighter in pelt than any shiney Eevee I've ever seen. They look more silver." She added. "He's white." She crouched down and patted Eevee's head. "So he's what you might call extra shiney. He's shiney, I guess, just lighter."

"But that doesn't matter, he's still an Eevee and that's great. I mean you have so many options ahead of you." She looked at him. "I have an aunt who breeds only Eevee and had been trying to develope new evlolutions, She's almost created a ground type."

"So let's get going and onto the next town. Maybe we'll be able to get some pokeballs when we get there. Then we can start building teams. I really want to get a Charmander or maybe a Pripulp. We might even be able to find some Gryskits." She smiled. "They are rare you know."

Portia nudged her.
"Pix!"

"Portia wants to get going. So let's move."

"Alrighty then. Let's get out of here." Ty announced as he bentdown and picked up his eevee.

Just then as they had just started to go Ty's phone rang. It was his dad, Ty told him all about his battle and how he is going to be travling with Kippo.

"Sorry about that! I guess i forgot to call him with all the excitement and all. So what town are we on our way to? I'm kinda new to this reigion and not too familiar with all the towns." Ty addmitted, putting his eevee down.

She paused and thought for a second. "If we're heading north." She began. "Then we should be on our way to Little Falls." She said. "It's about a day's walk from here to there and they sell great bikes I heard." She paused. "I've been saving up for one for my journey." She added. "It makes it much quicker to get around than walking. But for now we will walk." She paused and looked around her back.

"Currently I only have three Pokeballs, any captures that I make better be swift and good." she said. "So what did you bring to keep you going on this journey?" She asked. "And your end is becoming a professor." She looked at him. "All I want to do is prove I'm better than my siblings. Or at least as good as them." She sighed. "It won't be easy either. My sister's a Professor and she's only twenty five, and my Brother joined the elite four when he was only my age. He's eighteen now."

"You can do it Kippo, don't worry about it just try your best." Ty exclaimed, his Eevee jumped into his arms.

"Eev eevee!" It said as if to say that it agrees. Ty thought for a minute to think of what he had brought with him.

"I have two pokeballs, a few full heals, and about a dozen berries. But I'm going to need to get more when we get to Little Falls. I'll have to spend my money wisely if i want to buy that bike, having a bike would make this taveling thing ten times easier." Tyler noticed that it was late afternoonand the sun started to go down. He tried to figure out how time went so fast. It seemed like just an hour ago that he woke up.

"Wow! I can't belive how fast time went. I guess I did'nt notice the time with all the excitment today. "

"I guess I will." Kippo smiled a bit.

"We'll have to be careful of what we use." She said. "Berries aren't a problem." She said. "Those can be picked off trees and bushes. However there is a more immediate problem. What sort of food did you bring? I have these." She handed him a rather squashed cheese bun. Then she looked to the sky. "Let's get moving an find some place to camp before it gets dark." She said.

"I only have a candybar, small container of water and a sandwich. Not that much. There is a clearing up ahead, we can set up camp over there. As a matter of fact..." Ty paused a second and looked down the path where he had spotted the clearing. There was what looked like a small glowing fire and people.

"Do you see that? It looks like someones already over there! Maybe they will let us join them. Hay they might even have some food to spare!" He explainded with a smile.

"Want to go check it out?" Tyler asked.

Kippo stared down the path. "You're right!" She said. "I hope they have food to spare, and that they arn't crooks." She said. "It's to late in the day to deal with anyone like that." She added.

"Pix!" Vulpix bounded ahead of them, then trotted back. "Pix piiiix!" She happily said.

Kippo closed her eyes. "Well, this will be my first night away from home." She paused and looked through her bag. "Darn! I knew I forgot something." She said. "I don't have a sleeping bag. This is very bad."

(Is your eevee a he or a she?"

Kei was tired, it had been a really long day. Her new friend and her were setting up camp.
Kei's little Gryskit was playing with a stick by the fire.

"Watch out for the fire Gryskit!" Kei announced to the little lion cub pokemon.

"Gr gry gry!" He replied as he moved away from the fire with the stick in his mouth.

"That's a good boy!" Kei exclaimed patting him on his head. She rolled out the two sleeping bags that she brought with her. She always packed extra just in case!

She turned and looked down the path and saw figures in the distance walking twards them.
"Hey Kim look! Down the path, there is what looks like two trainers and their pokemon." Her Gryskit jumped up and down in excitement.

"Gr gry!" he yellped. Kei picked him up.

"Do you think that we should invite them to camp with us, it's getting dark?" Kei asked kim.

"Yeah go ahead I don't mind if they join us. Just invite them as they pass." Kim responded as she finnished unpacking the soups and water that she had packed. She knelt down and went through her bag.

"Hay Growlithe, which do you want?" She asked her pokemon as she held up one of the many cans of pokemon food she had with her. The Growlithe pawed at the one in her right hand.

"Okay I'll heat this one up for you then!" She put the poke food in a pot over the fire just to warm it up. She also started to heat the soup, when she noticed the two trainers had gotten to the camp ground.

"Come on over!" Kim yelled to the trainers.
"Growl Growl!" barked Kim's Growlithe. "Oh it's okay Growlithe I'm sure they are nice." she explained to her protective pokemon.

"Oh thanks, thats very nice of you guys!!" Tyler replied. His Eevee had ran ahead and sat by the fire, right on one of the sleeping bags that were layed out. Ty quickly followed him and picked him up.

"Eevee!" Ty said in a strict voice. "You know thats not your sleeping bag." He put Eevee down.

"I'm sorry about that. I'm Tyler Birch, you can just call he Ty though. This is my eevee, and thats my friend Kippo and her amazing vulpix, Portia!" Ty said pointing to the girl behind him and her pokemon.

"Hi." Kippo said holding up a hand shyly.

"I'm Kippo Maple." She said. "Ty and I just met today." she smiled. "We're just starting our journy." She said.

"Pix!" Vulpix said bounding up to the other pokemon. She sniffed at Growlith and yipped.

"Portia, please." Kippo said. "Try to behave yourself." She shook her head.
"Portia is a bit hyper." she said. "Sorry 'bout that."

"Oh thats ok... so you guys want to have some dinner? Kim is heating it up right now. She also has plenty of pokefood for your pokemon as well!!" Kei announced. She unpacked her
camping plates and utencils for everyone.

"Come on come on, don't be shy take a seat around the fire. Pull up a sleeping bag if you want, there is an extra right there if one of you want to use it." Kei sat down by the fire and started to help kim serve the soup and poke food.

"Hey, Gryskit come on over here buddy." she said to her pokemon who was wrestling a bush.

"Ty can you pore some of that water into these cups, I know they are small but its all i could fit in my bag." Kei said, as she handed out food to everyone.

"These will do just fine." Ty said as he filled the cups.

"Why dont you take the extra sleeping bag Kippo? Seeing as you don't have one."

Ty said as he signaled to his Eevee to come over to him. he placed his bowl of soup down on a rock and
placed some pokefood down infront of Eevee. He then picked up the hot soup and began to eat.

Kippo smiled in thanks.
"Portia will have some of whatever I'm having." She said.

She reached into her bag. "I have some cheese buns my mum made this morning if anyone is so intrested." She said drawing out the somewhat squashed foodstuffs.

"I'll be fine." she said, regarding the sleeping bag. She looked at a nearby tree and nodded. "I'll be sleeping up there. I would rather not be disturbed by hunting pokemon while Portia and I sleep." She said.

She took the soup and drank half of it, the other half she put on the ground for her pokemon. She then broke a cheese bun in half ate half and gave half to Portia.

"So what are your stories?" She asked the other two.

Kim quickly finished her soup and took the now empty dish of pokefood away from her Growlithe.

"Well, I started out yesterday with my Growlithe here. I had found him all alone, tied up to a tree by the poke center near my house. I had quickly ran over to him and saw that there was a note." Kim explaind to everyone around the fire. She pulled out a small folded paper from her pocket.

"It said,
Please someone take care of this new born pokemon. It had belonged to an evil group of trainers, I managed to rescue it from them.
But, I am unable to take care of it myself. So please take this wonderful pokemon in, and give him the love he deserves!

Kim finished reading the note and sliped it back into her pocket. Her growlithe
had jumped onto her lap, curled into a ball ,and closed his eyes.

"After that I took this little guy home, got permission to leave and started my journey. After just an hour of traveling we ran into Kei and her Gryskit. And, thats how it all started for me." Kim said, stroking Growlithe.

"Your turn Kei. Tell them how you started your journey and met Gryskit."

"Well I had started two days ago." Kei said as she placed her bowl of soup down. The fire had started going down so she threw in another log. The fire returned to it's previous size and Kei continued.

"I had woke up early and raced down stairs. My mom was already packing my bag for me. I had noticed that she was packing everything you could imagine. She gave the bag to me and told me to hurry up and get to the professors. Sooo, my friend's dad gave me a ride to Professor Maple's Lab so i could get my first pokemon.
The Professor said that a Gryskit would be a great choice for me. So i took my new pokemon and then spent the night at the pokecenter." Kei took a sip of her water and then continued.

"The the next morning Gryskit and I headed out early. We only got about a half mile away from town when we ran into a trainer. He challenged us to a battle. He was much better then us and we lost in one shot. My Gryskit was really hurt so I picked him up and carried him back to Professor Maple's. The Professor gave him some medicine and he was as good as new. Shortly after that we left AGAIN. And, thats where we ran into Kim. Next thing I knew we were camping out here, then you guys came." Kie started cleaning up the empty bowls and cups.

"So do you two want to join us? The four of us would make a great team. So what do you say?"

"Um..." said Ty as he helped clean up. His Eevee tried to help too, by picking up the empty cans with his mouth and giving them to Ty.

"Thanks Eevee. Um, I guess that would be fun. We can travel together and there's safety in numers." Ty paused and started to unpack his sleeping bag.

"What do you think Kippo?" Ty asked, Eevee jumped right into Ty's sleeping bag ready to go to sleep.

"Not so fast Eevee, we are out in the wilderness and there are wild pokemon out here. What if a pokemon attacks while we are sleeping? You'll be much safer in here." Ty took the blue and black pokeball from his belt and held it out twords Eevee.

"Come on." A red beam shot out from the center of the ball at Eevee, and took him inside.

"Me?" Kippo asked as she scaled the tree, her vulpix in on hand and a sleeping bag in the other. Portia threw a fit when asked to go back in the pokeball so Kippo picked her up and carried her up the tree. After finding a nice thick tangle of branches she set out her bag and slipped into it.
"I think it's a capital idea." She paused. "I'm going for double honours, both in gym battling and contests. What 'bout you guys?"

"I got Portia from the lab. Before I left I had wanted a skitty, but I'm pretty sure the lab one was a tad insane." She grinned. "And when I saw Portia, well I knew that she was the only one for me." She smiled and snuggled the Vulpix.

"An aunt of mine, who breeds fancy pokemon, lives in the next town. Why don't we stay at her house when we get there." She smiled. "I need to go there, she told me that she would give me a special pokemon. Of course it would never be as special as my Portia. I'm sure all of you could see what she has. She only keeps the best contest or battle pokemon for herself. Breeding program you know."

"That sounds awsome! Do you think your aunt will have any extra pokemon? you know maybe for us!!" Ty said whith a giant smile.

"I'm kidding your aunt doesn't have to give us anything. And speaking of badges and contest, I think I'm going to go for badges mostly. Though I'll probibly enter a contest or two." Ty got into his sleeping bag and looked up at the stars.

"Yeah Bages is what I'm after as well. But, I'll also do contest. You know to keep my pokemon at their best!" Said Kim she had just gotten situated in her sleeping bag. Her Growlithe had desided to lay on her feet.

"Kei What do you think you'll go for?" Asked kim. The fire was finally starting to go out for good and the moon was as full as ever, it gave the camp site a creepy feeling to it.

" I'm more of a contest person myself but i'm going to do badges to keep my poekmon in shape..." GRRR Roargrr!

Just as Kei Finished her sentance there was a horrible growling noise heard form the woods.

"Did you guys hear that?" Kei asked the others. Her gryskit got close to her for protection.

"It's okay Gryskit i'm sure it's nothing." Kei heard leaves ruseling as if something was walking twords them in the woods. GRR ROAR!

"AH! Okay what ever it is we are going to be ready. Right Gryskit?"

"Gry..." replied the very nervous pokemon. Kei got up out of her sleeping bag and stood her ground. Gryskit stood in front of her ready to defend her. Despite how freaked out it was.

"Ah okay Kim, Kippo, and Ty are you ready? It's coming really close."

Kippo nodded and drew out a ready pokeball, an empty one. She also looked at her Vulpix and moved quietly along the branches until she was at a point where Portia could easily access the ground in case of a battle.

"What do you think it is?" she said looking out into the darkness. Her fingers curled around the cool outside of the pokeball. "A pokemon?"

Ty jumped up and tossed his pokeball just incase.

"come on out Eevee, I might need your help." Ty looked closely at the woods where the sound was heard from. It growled again. The lound noise made Ty jump a little. The bushes started to move. He looked closer.

" It's a pokemon for sure! But, I can't make out what it is. We better be careful. We don't know if there is more than one or something, we got to be ready." Ty anounced to the others. Eevee stood it's ground in front of Ty ready for what ever was behind the bushes.

Kim and her Growlithe Quickley got up and got ready for the wild pokemon.

"Growlithe get ready okay?" Kim said to her pokemon.

Growlithe responded with a bark. He braced himself and stared at the woods. The fur on his back started to stand up. Just then out of the woods charged the wild pokemon they were preparing for. It was mearly a infant Gryskit. Kim let out a sigh of releaf.

"It's okay guy's it's just a little Gryskit." Kim said with a laugh.

Kippo was waiting for that second and lobbed the pokeball at it. A Gryskit, she wanted one of those to add to her party. She knew that her aunt would give all the others fancy pokemon, and well. She had a pokeball ready. So she deserved it. She grinned as the light flashed red.

"Congrats Kippo you caught it!" yellped Kei. Her Gryskit gave a sigh of releaf.
"That Gryskit sounded so scary. I thought it was going to be something big and creepy. We got all worked up for nothing Ha ha!" Explained Kei. She layed down with her Gryskit in her sleeping bag.
"Well now that thats over I think I'm going to get some shut eye, we have a lot of walking to do if we want to make it to the next town, and see Kippo's aunt!" Kei turned over and shut her eyes. Her Gryskit curled up next to her and did the same.

"Good idea Kei." announced Ty as he returned his Eevee and got into his sleeping bag.
"Congrats on catching that Gryskit Kippo! Well I'm gonna call it a night. See you guys in the morning." Ty said as he turned over and went to sleep.

Kippo curled up in her tree perch and held Portia close. Somehow she knew that this was going to be a great adventure.

Kippo, forgetting she was in a tree, rolled over and fell out of the tree. The landing, however was soft. She sat up. "Good morning everyone. How did you all sleep." She looked around again. "Oh where's Ty?"

Ty was abruptly awoken by what felt like someone landing on him.
"Ow....I'm.....right here!" Ty said seeing that Kippo had landed on him. Just then his Eevee let himself out of his ball and ran twords Kim's Growlithe.

Kippo laughed a bit and stood up. How embarrasing, landing on a travleing companion. She shook her head, how could she do something like that. Portia bounded over and leapt playfully at Eevee. "Pixxx!" She waggled her whole back end in excitment.

"Sorry about that Ty." Kippo said, rubbing the back of her neck. "Did you sleep well, I mean aside from your rude awakening." She added.

She was excited, today was the first true day of her journey. She would start traveling with her friends winning contests and earning gym badges. She had decided to train her pokemon either for gym or contest and have mutiple ones so she could take on both. After a day of traveling they should be at her aunt's home. She was sure her aunt would show them her pokemon. The amazing creatures were bred for contest wins.
