Looking at most threads i can say most people have caught a shinie poocheyena the same in my case. This maybe to do with a pattern occuring?Or maybe because its at the start of the game, there maybe more of a chance early on and later becomes more difficult to find a shinie later?
These are just my opinions!!!!!

DarkGard, I'm sure the point wasn't that they fought a load in the beginning, but instead that the chances may have been greater of seeing a shiny. However, this isn't true, and it is all just luck of the draw.

thx for advice it was just my oppinion :)
It has nothing to do with a greater chance, just a greater abundance. Poocheyena show up a great amount in the beginning of the game. If you were to try to get, say, a shiney heracross, which is a lot less common, it would take the same amount of searching, but a lot more time to get through the same amount of pokemon. Therefore, it'd be much harder.
