OoC: sorry i couldn't post this earlier, some issues came up. Anyway, you're now ready to go.
***
As you approach the reception desk, you notice nobody is here to welcome you. Pretty strange. You look around for any face, but there's no one.
"Argh!" suddenly someone shouts from behind, surprising you. "So sorry, really!" the young man apologizes. He's probably as old as you are, a late teen at most. "I shouldn't have left the counter, but I heard some noise outside, and currently I'm the only one here, the other Rangers have taken a sick leave or something and left me here to manage things by myself, saying that there wasn't much to do as the Park wasn't very famous yet and there would be hardly any activity from incoming trainers..." he starts rambling, but then suddenly stops. "Sorry. I must be bothering you, right? It's just I'm new here, and- and I'm not too sure as to what to do."
He gets behind the desk, and opens the drawers, obviously looking for something. "Now where did I put that again... Here!" he exclaims, holding up his scavenged treasure. "You... You need to sign this to enter the Park. Here you go." He hands the application sheet down, and holds out a pen too for you to fill. You diligently write all the infos down, and give the paper back to him. He checks it. "So your name's Nyurgh, huh? Funny name... I'm Ranger Hya, nice to meet you." He holds out a hand, the slightly takes it back, only to hold it out again, and retreating it once more. Then he gives up, walks around the desk and gestures for you to follow. "I see you're taking four Pokemon with you. A Scizor, a Wartortle, a Drapion and a Porygon2, right? I just love Porygon2, they're very good-looking in my opinion, but I never got to own one unfortunatly." He keeps on talking as he leads you to a parking lot... and then surpasses it without even glancing that way. As you start to question his reasoning, he notices your unspoken discomfort. "Sorry. I don't have a license yet," he says embarassed. "You'll have to bear with me a little longer, but I promise I won't make you walk all the way there. In, fact, we've arrived."
He stops in an isolated clearing, and all the more you start questioning the young fellow's sanity. He takes two Pokeball from his belt and launches them in the air. "Rue, Mint, I need your help."
From the Pokeballs, two human-shape figures emerged. They look rather scrawny, and kind of elderly too. As the laser light fades, you take a quick note of their features. They both stand on two legs, obviously, and are as tall as you are- though not very muscular, you're pretty sure you could tackle them down if the need arose. They have long triangle-shaped faces, with thick mustaches of the same colour of the face, the arms, the legs: a dark saffron color. Their torso is coated in a dark brown plate mail-like growth, and you wonder how they keep themselves balanced if the thing weights one tenth of how it looks. There are some differences between the two of them: one has shorter mustaches, and wields a couple of teaspoons in the hands- which, as silly as it may be, they're very deadly weapons, following the unwritten rule of Console RPGs- while the other looks much more elderly, but it may be just an impression given by the mystical staff he wields.
"Can you take us to Outer Heaven?" their trainer gently orders them, and they nod in unison, taking place around you and your young companion. "Stay close to me," he tells you, and you feel only too happy to oblige.
The two Alakazam focus their energies, and waves upon waves of mind force build in the catalysts of their powers. An aurora-coloured ring surrounds the four of you, gleaming in the early afternoon's sun. "If this is your first time, I'd suggest you close your eyes..." Ranger Hya suggests, as the aurora ring closes in, and the two Psychic Pokemon discharge the stocked energy.
For a long moment, you feel nothing. You'd be happy to stay that way forever, in a state of Nirvana-esque numbness. But then, you're abruptly brought to reality. With a thud.
To be exact, you fall on your ass. Life's cheap.
"Oww," the Ranger mumbles as he stands up and rubs his back. "That wasn't expected..."
You look around, and the luscious greenery leaves you in awe. You didn't expect the Outer Heaven to be so breathtakingly beautiful...
But that's because the place's not the Outer Heaven at all, not that you had any knowledge of that.
You're in a small area between big old oaks, their trunks so big you'd need at least six or seven people to circle them, the roots sticking out of the ground and painfully akin to veins. The sun washes over you brightly, only to be briefly hidden by fluffy looking clouds. Looking a bith farther, you notice that soon the oaks make place for very big grasslands, in which you see many Grass types playing around, blissfully unaware of you. Even farther, there seem to be a small body of water, but you fail to notice any Water Pokemon activity- maybe you're just too far to notice.
"I... I think this is the wrong place," the Ranger tells you, once again apologizing. "I'm so sorry I can't even explain it in words. You see, my two Alakazam aren't familiar with the island yet, so they... they didn't know the way yet. This is totally my fault- feel free to report me when we get back to the Outpost." He bows deeply, and then takes a breath. "I think we're in the Botanic Garden. It's a very nice place, I loved it ever since they first showed me this place. I always wanted to have an excuse to return..." he stops mid-sentence. "Sorry. Maybe my Pokemon got confused due to my wishes and brought us here unknowingly." He returned the two Pokemon to their Pokeballs. "Let me refresh you the rules of the Park, before we venture here. Once we get in an area there's no turning back until you run out of Pokeball, all your Pokemon faint, or you decide you've had enough. If you need, I think I've got some spare supplies to share, but they're not for free- we need money to keep this running. Second, you can catch as many Pokemon as you want, but at the end of your visit you must release all but one- we're still working on this rule, we'd be happy to receive some feedback from you after we get back. Third, I'm here to watch over you: if you attempt at anything illegal or severly injure one of the Pokemon here, I'm afraid I must escort you out and hand you to the police." He shows you a hand, adding a finger for each rule. "I think that's all. Are we ready to start?"

"I think that's all. Are we ready to start?" the ranger asks me, holding up three fingers.
"You bet!" I reply, unable to contain my emotions.
This was my first visit to the National Park. I came in search of a peaceful escape from the hectic outside world. The Botanic Garden seemed like the perfect place for me to stay. I lean against one of the large oak trees and stared into the sky. I took a deep breath, inhaling the scent of various plant-life. Suddenly, one thing came to mind: catching wild Pokemon. I began casually walking through the area, still savoring the smell of flowers. I wasn't paying attention to my footing and tripped over something.
"What's that!" I yelled, looking at what I tripped over, "Oh, it's just a root..."
I felt some extra weight on my back, but I was able to pull myself up. The sound of something falling on the ground was right behind me. I turned to find an angry wild Pokemon. I had never seen anything like it before.
"What is that thing?" I asked, turning to the Ranger.

Beneath the first timer Trainer, a small pink bulb-looking Pokemon was shruddering, the long leaves on the top of its head swaying as if a strong wind was shaking them. Its rather big ears were lowered as it looked in fear at the unknown man.
"H... Hoppip!" it cried.
"What is that thing?" you ask, turning your head to the Ranger accompaning you.
Bad idea.
Suddenly, you feel as if a soccer ball had hit your guts, and you fall behind, flat on the ground. You look for your assailant: it's a small brown creature, with a tan pattern around its eyes and an almost gray cap of sorts, that has various circles around the stubby stem on top of it. The small creature has no arms, but those small feet seem more than adept at whatever need it may have. It seems rather angry, and very protective of the other Pokemon.
"Oh my..." Hyacinth says. "They're an Hoppip and a Seedot. It's quite a rare sight, to see two wild Pokemon battling together- and the latter even seems quite devoted!"

I'd have rather expected a post a little more... complex, but hey, guess this works as well. The tackle-like attack with which Seedot attacked you hurts a bit, but you're capable of moving just fine.

OOC: Lol, I guess it's a good thing I have two Anti-Grass Pokemon with me.
IC: I hit the ground hard, breathing heavily, that Tackle had left me short on breath. The brown Acorn Pokemon and the little pink thing looked really intimidating right now. I reached into my pocket and pulled out two red-and-white balls. With a quick motion of my arm, I released the Pokeballs. They hit the soft terrain, opening in white flashes of white. The right-most one released a red bug with large claws. Her body shined like steel. Scizor looked fiercly at my attackers.
The ball on the left opened to reveal a large purple Pokemon. His body was formed of elliptical segments. His mouth was barred with a pair of sharp fangs. Instead of hands, this Pokemon had pincers, and a pronged tail as well. Drapion roared and charged at Seedot, not bothering to wait for my command.
"Drapion, hold on a sec- never mind," I sighed, then I turned to Scizor, "I know you want a bigger challenge Scizor, I know we'll find one. But for now, we can't take any chances, use Metal Claw and then chain it with X-Scissor."
Always willing to give 110%, Scizor obediently followed my commands. She first used Metal Claw which, as the name implied, surrounded her claws with a silver shine, increasing the potential damage they could inflict. She beat her wings and hovered gently over the ground, letting her claws overlap. When she neared the pink Grass-type, she prepared X-scissor by giving her arms a green glow. Hit or miss, the result of the attack would leave a faint green "X" hovering in the air.
ooc: How's that?

OoC: I've seen worse... But I'm still punishing you for the not very creative post. Watch out!
Oh, and it wasn't a Tackle, but well... I'm not holding it agaisnt you. Let's just say it charged at you, because Seedot can't learn Tackle.
***
The steel red mantis daringly flew at her designated opponent, brandishing her claws that glew like hard steel. The metal wings fluttered heavily to keep her airborne, even so close to the ground.
The small pink Pokemon watched helplessly as its opponent got neared, trembling in fear and starting to panick, and, as she was about to hit, a huge spray of bullets hit the Scizor's face, barely grazing it but still making it lose the momentum. As she turned her head sideways to check who had attacked it- it was the Seedot that had shot the Bullet Seed, trying to protect its friend- the pink bulb hopped on the ground and bounced, trying to get away from the assailant, and unknowingly hit her as well, whacking the unaware steel bug in the face as it bounced back.
She truly missed her target, and failed to connect any attack for reasons outside her area of competence.
"Watch out!" Hyacinth reprimanded. "This is a double battle, Pokemon won't hold back just because you only send one to attack. You need to make up a strategy, you can't just go along with the flow."

due to Scizor's steel skin, Hoppip received collateral damage after the Bounce attack, thats why it lost some HP. The calculations are half actually calc'd and half made up, because I believe Scizor should've sustained a little more damage in the games but it does have a very hard skin.
Your turn now.

OOC: Time to step it up a little then.
IC: After watching Scizor take a hit from both Hoppip and Seedot's attacks, Drapion stopped his charge. I soon realized that Scizor taking damage had struck a nerve. If I wanted to pull this off, I had to overreact, big time.
"Scizor, hang in there!" I yelled, turning to Drapion, and pointing at the red bug, "See? That is what happens when you get reckless! If you let her take hits like that, Scizor will never return your feelings."
Drapion winced, the idea of Scizor never loving him back struck a chord. The big purple scorpion leapt to the Pincer Pokemon's side, extending a claw, it seemed only love could break an Adamant personality. Scizor graciously accepted and pulled herself up. It looks like I finally had a team. I took a moment to scan the surroundings. Behind my Pokemon was open space, but there seemed to be a large tree behind the wild attackers.
"I sure hope I don't get kicked out of the park for this..." I thought to myself, "Scizor, use X-Scissor on that branch above you! Drapion, wait for them to dodge, then pick a target and use Cross Poison! Scizor, as soon as Drapion launches an attack, hit the other Pokemon with Bullet Punch!"
Just as before, Scizor crossed her claws. This time though, she fiercly beat her steel wings in order to reach the branch that was eight feet above the Grass-types. She flicked her claws, cutting the branch, sending it plummeting down to the wild Pokemon. Drapion folded his arms waiting for his target, Seedot, to make a mistake. He would then uncross his arms, forming a light purple "X", if it hit, there was a chance of inflicting poison on the opponent.

OoC: finally. I've been itching for some romantic involvement... in general. It's not easy to find someone to try and exploit this. And I'm sorry, I didn't notice that Drapion started attacking by himselfi n the other post... Good thing this is only the trial run
***
After his rash tackling missed his target, the venomous scorpion Pokemon got admonished for his actions. "See? That's what happens when you get reckless! If you let her take hits like that, Scizor will never return your feelings!"
Hyacinth was surprised at the reaction of the trainer. He wasn't sure if it was a scolding or if he was just trying to yell, as in cheering, him on. Fact is, it worked. The pig-headed Drapion now carefully listened to his trainer, and stood there waiting, while his battle partner, which he wished to have as life partner as well, started the combo attack.
The red steel mantis did an amazing leap, reaching for a branch high up over the two puny grass Pokemon, the acorn watching carefully, but, not resisting to wait for her to finish up, he started focusing, and a greenish aura surrounded it. With a small hop, star-shaped beams appeared from beneath it, and after a quick lap around the grass Pokemon they shot upwards, right as Scizor managed to hack off the branch from the tree, following with a somersault over the falling object to give it more momentum, then landed on a nearby branch, waiting for Hoppip's move.
However, Drapion was having none of that. As soon as Seedot's attention was diverted he rushed forward, holding out his pinchers as they glew sickly, as poison oozed out of the tips of his stingers and coated the tips. With a roar, he came within attack range, and struck the Seedot harshly. Even if it managed to duck and avoid the direct attack, one of the pinchers pummeled it, and sent it flying.
Meanwhile, the branch managed to take out the first wave of stars, and fell way off from where it was intended to. The remaining of the Swift attack, however, aimed itself at Scizor, and Drapion was quick to react: his tail raised, the twin stingers glew brightly and got shot toward the beams, quickly being replaced and shot again, hitting the stars and utterly destroying them, showering the Pin Missile user in a golden rain.
Hyacinth shook his head after watching in awe the scene. "Are you trying to get those Pokemon killed?!" he yelled shocked. "You're lucky it managed to somewhat avoid taking too much damage, but tone it down. Even if it's not you that's dealing with the aftermaths, I'd like you to think about the consequences a bit more!"
The pink bulb, still panicked, kept bouncing around franctically, trying to get as far as it could from the two big scary Pokemon, as Scizor kept track of its movements. When she thought it was the best time to attack, so she did, and lunged forward punch first, attaining a speed level no Scizor had naturally any business with.
The collision seemed certain, but then Hoppip made a sudden unexpected turn, and missed the punch, instead getting blown away by the collision with the steel body. Unable to retreat the attack, Scizor let the Bullet Punch hit the ground, and unsurprisingly, she got stuck there, with a claw trapped underground.

OOC: Lol, I think you're doin' fine. By the way, remember my Scyther story you graded? Seeing as Scizor is incapacitated at the moment, I'll have to borrow a few moves from that.
IC:
"Are you trying to get those Pokemon killed?!" the ranger yelled in shock. "You're lucky it managed to somewhat avoid taking too much damage, but tone it down. Even if it's not you that's dealing with the aftermaths, I'd like you to think about the consequences a bit more!"
"Drapion!" the orge scorpion shot back.
"Calm down buddy," I said, raising my arms, "right now we have to focus on getting beating these guys and getting Scizor out of the ground!"
Drapion looked at me, ready to obey my commands. I returned his glance, and slowly made my move. Hoppip stared me down, ready to flee at the slightest unexpected surprise. I took my bag and set it on the ground. Then I slowly walked towards the broken branch. The pink bud paid close attention to my movements. I knew that if I made the slightest sound, I would scare it off. I wasn't intent on catching it, but Ranger Hya was right, my Pokemon put too much on the line for me to just let this battle end. I stopped and bent down, grabbing a broken section of the branch. I slowly moved both hands in order to grip it like a baseball bat.
"Drapion, hit Hoppip with Fire Fang!" I yelled.
The orge scorpion charged the pink bud, barring his fangs. Using the flammable toxins in his body, Drapion surrounded his big fangs with a roaring fire. As he charged, he gave Scizor an impressive look. If the fangs locked into their target, Hoppip would be caught in a fiery Hell contained in my Poison/Dark-type's mouth. This attack would be incredibly effective against the little Grass-type, of course, it could backfire big time.
As for me, I grasped the piece of tree in my hands and charged towards the small nut. I was at a loss between my home-run swing and my putt putt golf skills. As far as I'm concerned, no Pokemon honestly expects a human to enter the fray. That is my ultimate ace, I'm not just a re-assuring voice, a controlling mastermind, I'm a fighter, an ally, but most importantly; I'm a friend. Scizor watched in awe, falling in love with what she saw, it wasn't me, it wasn't Drapion, it was our fighting spirit. This battle against some of the most pathetic of Pokemon failed to drain our spirits. I took to mind the most memorable quote I had ever heard.
"Smell ya later," the voice of Gary Oak echoed through my mind.
"Smell ya later Seedot," I said, swinging the branch with all my might.
Ooc: I might have cranked out a bit of cheese there.

As the ranger admonished the Trainer and his Pokemon, the Drapion roars, scaring him stiff. "Calm down, buddy. Right now we have to focus on beating these guys and getting Scizor out of the ground," you tell him.
Drapions looks at you, then at his beloved, that was tugging her pincher to free herself. The purple scorpion nodds at you, and waits for your orders.
Meanwhile, Ranger Hyacinth watches as you pick up a branch and start brandishing as a weapon. "That's... That's not what I meant when I said to think about the consequences!" he tells you weakly. "That's too dangerous, you're not resilient like Pokemon are!" You seem deaf at his pleads, though.
"Drapion, hit Hoppip with Fire Fang!" you yell.
Drapion turns back and forth between you and Scizor, torn up as to which lead to follow, if his heart or his loyalty. His heart told him to help Scizor first, for no other reason but to get her out of harm's way, but his trainer had ordered him otherwise.
With a sudden decision, he rushes to the red mantis, tugging the twin pinchers in the ground around her claw, and digging in a frenzy, as she kept struggling to get free.
You lung at your opponent, that after a moment of obvious dismay quickly recollected itself and started charging an attack, without having too much of luck in that department as you arrive, swinging the weapon with all the strength you can muster. "Smell ya later!" you say as you whack the acorn Pokemon on the head, cracking its cap in some points.
However, Seedot doesn't seem fazed- maybe he's yet to feel the blow, or more likely you're not nearly as strong as a Pokemon- and has now finished charging the attack, spitting on you jet-bullets seeds. You shield your eyes to avoid any severe injury, but the bullets are sharp and fast enough to cause some shallow cuts on your whole body, wherever they hit. Some especially nasty ones keep hitting where you got tackled by Seedot earlier, who knows if on purpose (but extremely unlikely).
Drapion meanwhile had lunged at his designated opponent, flames coating the outer part of his teeth as he quickly closed up the small pink Pokemon, that having calmed down a little, quickly went back to panick as it had no time to run away before it got locked into the poison scorpion's mouth, whittling like crazy and crying out loudly to be set free.
And then it fainted. Drapion tossed it away and turned, waiting for a praise from his trainer, only to notice he was being attacked. Anger filling his eyes, he stampeded to the small weakened acorn, quickly followed by Scizor.

Ooc: Lol, I took a shot in the dark, and I got shot. Live and learn.
Ic: "Crap!" I yelled, taking the full force of a Bullet Seed.
My arms barely saved my eyes. Every second, several seeds dig into my body. I was in a huge jam, my reckless personality had endangered not only me, but my Pokemon as well. The seeds hurt like hell, but the fall from my pedestal of ignorance hurt my soul.
"Drapion!" the ogre scorpion yelled.
Suddenly, the bullets stopped. I looked up to find my Poison-type's large body absorbing the attacks. Tears began welling up in my eyes. Not too long ago, Drapion wouldn't even wait for me to issue a command, now it received an attack that my own foolishness brought upon me.
But that wasn't the full extent of my Pokemon's rage. Scizor flew behind the Acorn Pokemon, giving Drapion a cue of some sort. Both Pokemon rose their arms, Drapion's began excreting poison, while Scizor's emitted a faint green glow.. Scizor charged, using her large wings to barely get off the ground. Drapion four legs moved as fast as they ever could. At first I cursed my Pokemon, if Seedot had dodged, which it had a bastard habit to do so, they would likely collide and both would receive each other's attack. Then both Pokemon surprised me, they both leaned slightly to the right. This meant that if Seedot stood still, both cross attacks would miss!
"What the hell are you guys doing?" I wanted to ask, but my wounds were too fresh to do anything but watch.
The look I saw in Scizor's eyes, it differed from the way they normally look. While they mantained that sense of Hardiness, they seemed to burn with passion. I knew Drapion was the same way. My Pokemon planned on embracing each other where Seedot stood. So even if Seedot held its ground and was left un-phased by the pair of cross attacks that would be inches over its head, it would be sandwiched between the two Pokemon!

Hyacinth couldn't stand back now: those two Pokemon would surely kill that Seedot if he didn't do something. It was highly unlikely that, in their fury charge, they'd plan something, and anyways, it was nothing that the Ranger could notice, from the place he stood.
Drapion had shielded himself with his arms when he got between his trainer and the spray of bullets, taking minimal damage from that attack, and then stampeded forward, pinchers first, to deal with the baby green Pokemon that had dared to attack his trainer.
And on the other side, there was Scizor, that after needing a moment to recollect herself after being freed from the ground, charged to the Seedot as well, her pinchers glowing green as she charged a X-Scissor aimed at it.
Franctically turning between the two Pokemon, the Grass Pokemon didn't know what to do, as it looked way hard to avoid both attacks and it was growing tired from the battle. With a last-minute resolution, it... Hardened. The acorn braced and then focused its energies to quickly reinforce its wood-like skin, hoping to minimize the incoming damage.
"Rue! Mint! Use Barrier on that Seedot!" Hyacinth ordered throwing two simple Pokeball in the air.
The two Alakazam rose from the spheres, and started focusing their energies on the smaller Pokemon, and, not that anybody had a guess as to what was happening, layer upon layer of thick air came to life, creating circular shaped shields between the Seedot and its attackers.
Scizor and Drapion, as if in sync, pummeled the energy shields with their attacks, spending the momentum trying to break them, and successfully managed to do so, their attacks having spent almost all their energy to surpass the special defenses.
Then the two Pokemon braced each other, giving the small nutty Pokemon no chance to escape. Hyacinth dropped down with a relieved sigh, as the two Pokemon didn't seem to have given in to the rage, or maybe the Barrier had given them a little time to cool off and change strategy. Anyway, they didn't kill the Seedot, and that was what mattered.
Until, however, Seedot started glowing. Knowing it was done for, it started charging, deciding to get off with a bang!
"Get away!" Ranger Hyacinth yelled. "It's going to Explode!"

Ooc: Ah, backed into a corner. Chances are, with my reckless attitude, Scizor and Drapion are screwed.
Ic: "Son of a-" I gasped, struggling to come up with a solution.
It was in that moment of truth that the answer was lying on the ground, unconscious from an earlier attack. Seedot attacked me after Hoppip hit the ground when I stood up. When Scizor attacked Hoppip, it had fought back. I had no way of being certain if Seedot did have those intentions. Hell, I didn't even know if Seedot can understand me, but I had no choice.
"Seedot! If you can hear me, for god's sake, wait!" I yelled, "Hoppip will be caught in the blast. You don't want to hurt it, do you? I'm sorry I scared you, I was stupid. I should've been paying more attention! I've been reckless, I could've hurt Hoppip, I could've damaged the gardens, the worst part is: I put my Pokemon, no my friends in danger. Seedot, if you stop the attack right now, we'll leave you and Hoppip alone!"
And here I was, literally reasoning with a nut. I had seen it work on potential suicide risks, but then again, the police and the jumper always spoke the same language. My Pokemon were brave, even in the face of this possibly devastating attack. I only hoped that it wasn't too late...
Ooc: This was better than Plan A, I think that would've made me the first ever fatality in the National Park.

Hyacinth couldn't do much but watch astonished at the surreal scene that was taking place in front of him. Nyurgh, the trainer he was accompanying, was trying to hold off an Explosion attack from a Seedot, unconveniently sandwiched between his two Pokemon, by... talking sense to the acorn Pokemon.
He was at a loss as to who was the nuttier of the two.
Smelling troubles, he started rummaging though the bag he tied to his waist, looking for something useful, in case things went wrong.
And they were.
It seemed that the small grass Pokemon had decided that, tired as it was feeling, it didn't matter if Hoppip was in the area, as the blast would've most likely died down before reaching him. Not to count, there were Scizor and Drapion right around it, and they'd absorb most of the blast, if not all, that the tiny nut-like Pokemon could make.
Or maybe it didn't think at all. Maybe it was just too late for it to just stop the attack like that, or it hadn't really given a nut about the human's pleads. Who knows what weird thoughts travelled in a Pokemon's head?
The seed Pokemon seemed to quickly reaching its climax, when its attention was attracted by something else, and it made a "ooh- shiny!" face, as if to confirm that.
"Whew, it worked," Hyacinth said with a relieved sigh. He had thrown a clockwork Clefairy doll hoping it'd distract the Seedot, and it seemed to work... momentarily. It wouldn't last long, as the Pokemon wasn't likely to forget it was surrounded. "Mint, quickly, Teleport it away!" he ordered to his female Alakazam before his diversion lost effect.
The moustached female psychic, loyal to her trainer's order, crossed her spoon and aimed them at the small Pokemon between the two damn giant bugs. Then she shot a wave of invisible energy, that made her arms recoil as if she had fired a gun, and the grass Pokemon quickly disappeared from their sight, landing on a tree not too faraway but enough for it not to pursue vengeance- baby Pokemon, and most basic Pokemon as well to an extent, were known to have the attention span of a curious monkey, and they never dwelt too much on a matter unless it was in the genetics, strictly speaking.
Hopefully, it'd have no reason to seek vengeance, as the Hoppip seemed to come to his senses, and true to his nature ran away to hide.

The young Ranger picked up the Pokedoll before it could run too far and he'd lose it. It could've come handy again, who knew.
Then he turned to the trainer, a fit of anger burning in his eyes. "Are you harbouring a death wish? Or are you simply stupid? This isn't some kind of videogame, where you can take your chances and push the reset button if things go wrong. You're lucky it was a Seedot the Pokemon you fought, but what if you were faced with, let's say, a Grotle? Or a Shiftry? Those things can be pretty mean if they're given the chance, and you wouldn't have walked out of this with mere bruises." He took a breath before continuing, putting a hand on one of his Alakazam. "A trainer's Pokemon's primary job is to keep their master from being harmed. We share deep bonds with them, and that's why they agree to risk so much for us- because they know that we're so much frailer than them, in comparison. And so we trainers do as well, by giving them a different point of view to work on while battling. We issue commands because supposedly we can see things they can't, as a thank-you for their loyal protection."
After his lecture finished, he regained his composture. "Sorry. I got carried away. It's just- you worried your two Pokemon sick," he gestured to Scizor and Drapion, that had freed eachother from the earlier deathlock, "and for what? Playing hero? Or the peacemaker? You can't just recklessly rush in a battle agaisnt a Pokemon, you're no match for them. You need thought-out plans, useful tactics, careful strategies. Keep it this way, and you'll only endanger yourself more, not to count your Pokemon, because as you've seen they deeply care about you and won't stand back, even if it might cost them their life."

OoC:
I wonder what was plan A... surely couldn't have been more farfetched than this. I was really tempted to let Seedot explode and let you deal with the aftermaths of having an injured Drapion with you, but I got advised not to, as we Rangers are supposed to prevent the worst from happening. I may be sounding a little harsh now, but you were stretching it a lot. To the point of tearing it.

Ooc: Lol, Plan A was to run between my two Pokemon and try and throw Seedot away.

I wanted to argue, but something told me to shut the hell up. I looked at my two Pokemon, they were mentally strong, but they looked ready to cry at any moment. I kicked around the dirt a little bit. Was it my fault things had gone wrong? Screw it, I'm the only one to blame. I picked up my bag and threw it around my back. Then I walked up to the ogre scorpion and the pincer Pokemon. Drapion walked towards me, extending one of his claws. I brushed it away, slightly wincing at the wounds I had received. I turned to Scizor, she was the first Pokemon I had ever caught on my own.
"You guys... have been great," I said, tears welling in my eyes, "I'm a damn fool, I wouldn't hold it against you two if you left me and stayed in the National Park," I sobbed slightly, "I'm sure another guest would do a better job raising you two. I'll just press this button on your Pokeballs, and you will no longer be in danger of my jackass decisions."
I grabbed my two Pokemon's pokeballs, the only thing that really proved they were mine. By simply twisting the button, the red beam would free them from the trainer's ownership. I was about to adjust the first Pokeball when a big claw latched onto my arm. Scizor's big steel claw clamped down on my arm.
"Trust me, it's for your own good," I said, "Ranger Hya is right, a good trainer issues commands because he or she can see things that you guys can't. But it's pretty damn obvious, you guys know a lot more than I do."
I wriggled out of Scizor's claw and moved my arm closer to the Pokeball. Just a twist, and then the press of a button, they would be safe from now on. I would release my other Pokemon as well, and have them sent to the best place for them in the National Park. I was choking on the tears I had been surpressing. Finally I grew the stones and lunged my hand towards the ball, if I got it over quickly, I'd have no way of hesitating.
Suddenly, a pronged tail grabbed the Pokeball, snatching it from my hands. I turned to look at Drapion, giving Scizor the oppurtunity it grab her Pokeball. I couldn't even release my Pokemon the right way.
"I know guys, but... we have to do it," I said.
Both of my Pokemon pointed towards the young ranger. He had been berating me the entire time. Surely he would want me to leave my Pokemon here and leave. That's when my motivation kicked in.
"You're challenging me..." I muttered, cracking a grin, "You don't think I can do better do you? I'll show you! I'll go down in the National Park Hall of Fame, you'll see. Screw this guys, give me back your Pokeballs, let's go catch some Pokemon!"
I never understood why I did the things I did. Was I really just wanting to play hero? To have everybody idolize me and go down as a champion. Or was it to simply keep the peace? Have nobody standing against me, because I was too damn nice. I had come to the National Park to take a break, at first I thought it was from the outside world, but thanks to Ranger Hya and my Pokemon, I realized that I had come here to change the way I am. I would go in a reckless bastard, but I would leave this place a changed trainer.
I re-called my Pokemon and turned to the young ranger, "Where's the best place to find some cool Pokemon here?"

Drama ensued. It seemed almost an act, but Hyacinth quickly shook away the thought as Nyurgh first threatened- or offered, the young ranger couldn't say- to free his two Pokemon. Then they knocked some sense back in him, as Drapion tried to edge his trainer on, and it worked.
"You don't think I can do better do you? I'll show you, I'll enter the National Park Hall of Fame, you'll see. Screw this guys, give me back your Pokeball, Let's go catch some Pokemon."
Hyacinth, again, was at a loss as what to do. He didn't receive training for dealing with temper-prone trainers. He tried to recall if he had ever attended to some anger control assemblies back before he turned a ranger, but his memory failed him.
"I... didn't mean to try and part you from your Pokemon. I know better than that. But... but you ought to know better as well. I know you're not mistreating your Pokemon, because they seem very healthy and quite fond of you too. But you don't seem to be an expert when it comes to real battles. I'm not claiming that I'm any better than you, but I was a trainer too in my earlier days, and I know how things go. Promise me you'll be more careful from now on, that's all I ask."
The trainer recalled his two Pokemon, and then asked. "Where's the best place to find some cool Pokemon here?"
"I'm... not too sure," the ranger replied. "I'm rather new here, and I haven't had much time to visit around here. I think that not too far from here there's a tropical area, and I'm sure there're some Tropius there, or other Pokemon as well. Follow me."

IC: "I'm... not too sure," the ranger replied. "I'm rather new here, and I haven't had much time to visit around here. I think that not too far from here there's a tropical area, and I'm sure there're some Tropius there, or other Pokemon as well. Follow me."
I agreed to follow the ranger, but the thought of a Tropius lingered in my mind. If memory served me well, it was a Grass and a Flying-type Pokemon, which meant it would take a lot of damage from Ice-type attacks. I thought for a minute and remembered something I had been told by Ranger Hya earlier.
"You're lucky it was a Seedot the Pokemon you fought, but what if you were faced with, let's say, a Grotle?" he had said.
"You mentioned Grotle earlier, does that mean there are Turtwig too?" I said.
Without waiting for a reply, I started moving away from the tropical area. Something told me that I'd have a better chance of catching a Turtwig than taking down something big like a Tropius.
"Come on, you won't get your license if you lose track of me," I joked, waiting for the ranger to catch up.
Ooc: Judging by my performance so far, I think I'll pass fighting a Tropius.

OoC: you're out of luck. Really. Or maybe you're too lucky, I dunno. Thing is, I rolled a 98. Wonderful feat in normal circumstances, but these don't really apply as "normal". Next Pokemon you're going to meet, is a Rare one. And it's not going to be pleasant. Because I'm a bastard.
Anyway. Encounter #2 - Female Hasty Tropius, Chlorophyll. You fled.
guess it was for the best though. I mean, it's hasty! It's got Chlorophyll! And it's morning!
***
"You mentioned Grotle earlier," the trainer said. "Does that mean that there are Turtwig too?"
But without waiting for a reply, he already took off, trying to get away from a possible encounter with a female, hasty Tropius... Not a bad idea at all, in the end.
"H-hey wait!" Hya yelled as the trainer taunted him. "Don't you get off on your own, you might get lost easily! It's safer to stick closer. And... I believe Turtwig stick around there too, we can stick around and search..."
Suddenly, a pained yowl made both human flinch, and sent both Alakazam on their toes.
"What was that?" the trainer asked.
"I don't know, it seemed a Pokemon, a very injured one. I've got to check," Hya replied as he took off into the direction of the cry.
Not too far he ran, that the source of it came into view, tearing a few trees from the ground with an effortless swipe of its claws.
It was big. Much too big for the young Ranger's liking. It stood tall on its rear legs, howling painfully for unkwown reasons. Hyacinth quickly scanned the Pokemon, as he had been instructed to: its shell didn't seem cracked, actually its plates seemed sturdier than ever. The long, thick neck looked fine, the natural rock armor covering it perfectly. And the face... No, the eyes.
A big gash was visible right under the ancient Pokemon's left eye, which it held closed, and one could see the pulses of the tender, exposed meat of the Armaldo. It seemed that was the source of its pain, and that made it go on a fury blaze.
With a flick of its armored tail, it easily smashed another tree trunk, hopelessly trying to relieve itself that way from the pain.
Then it saw the humans.
And decided it was their fault.

OOC: o_o
IC: A large armored bug was thrashing about wildly, coming straight towards the ranger and I. In my haste to catch a Turtwig, I had pissed off an Armaldo. The gash on its right eye was gruesome, and it wanted to destroy something because of it.
"Let's get the hell out of here!" I yelled, trying to take off with my tail between my legs.
I had no Fire-types, fighting it was not an option. Wartortle and Porygon2 would be killed, and Scizor and Drapion were still too tired.
"Armaldo, why'd it have to be Armaldo?" I thought to myself, continuing my run.
The bug was a fast one, I knew I couldn't just run, I had to outthink it. This bug, this one-eyed bug was angry, just looking for something to take its rage out on. And at the moment Ranger Hya and I seemed to be the perfect candidates. I pulled out a Pokeball, this one contained Porygon, and blue-and-pink virtual duck.
"Porygon2, focus your energy, stay up high, but stay close, I'll need you soon," I said, "give me a sign when you're ready."
The Virtual Pokemon floated into the treetops, remaining out of Armaldo's sight. After a little while longer, the sound of flowing electricity could be heard above. At this point, I pretended to trip on a rock.
"Ranger Hya!" I yelled, waiting until he was too far away to do anything.
The rampaging Armaldo was almost upon me. It was scary sh*t, trust me. But still, I saw no other way of slowly down the bug enough for us to escape. I had to Paralyze it. Finally the big dark blue bug stood over me, revealing its claws. The look in its eyes, it was about to attack!
"Porygon2 Zap Cannon, now dammit!" I yelled.
The sleek pink-and-blue duck floated down from the trees. It unleashed the energy it had stored in a massive surge of electricity. I only hoped my plan was successful, if it didn't work, I would have to battle.

OoC:Not what I expected, but you're starting to think. Good. Here's your prize.
***
The ancient Pokemon decided to focus on Nyurgh, on the sole purpose that he was on his right, therefore on his sight. It started running towards him, and the young man started running away. However, it would do no good, so he decided to try for something different.
Hyacinth could see that Nyurgh summoned a third Pokemon, his Porygon2, and ordered it something. The virtual Pokemon steadily floated to the bug's left, so as not to be seen, and then the trainer seemed to trip.
That snapped the young inexperienced ranger out of his fearz-induced daze. "Damn, I gotta do something,"he said as he started running to the two of them, his Alakazam in tow.
But he was way too far. However, from above the Armaldo, Porygon2 steadied itself, gathering sparks of energy in front of its beak. The collected sparks formed a bluish crackling sphere, and as the half bug, half rock Pokemon prepared to strike the poor defenseless trainer, BAM! The Zap Cannon was shot and connected with its target, who was totally unaware of it coming. The blow on the head seemed to make it wobbly, as the jolts travelled down its whole body and temporairly locked its movements.
Hya was elated, and quickly tried to recall what he knew he had to do when meeting a rampaging Pokemon. First thing, restrain it. "Nyurgh, get away! Rue, Mint, tie Armaldo down with Grass Knot!"
As the trainer quickly got up and got out of the way, the two Alakazam prepared themselves to attack, drawing energy from the nature around them. The male Alakazam dipped the base of his staff in the ground, then, as the gem-tipped top glew an emerald green, he thrusted it forward, to his enemy. The female rolled her spoons, creating a small vacuum around them as an ethereal force was attracted to the silvery items. She joined them, and prepared to strike.
Both pokemon launched an ethereal green whip, which coiled itself around the bug Pokemon's legs and tripped it down. Then, with a flick of the humanshape Pokemon's wrists, the whips split and coiled themselves around its arms, then nailed themselves in the ground, effectively locking it for a little while. Armaldo whimpered, and probably cursed in its own language, as Hyacinth carefully but quickly approached it from its blind side.
Step two: calm it down. Hyacinth had been given some essences especially for those cases. He quickly drew one of them and put it under the armored Pokemon's nose, something which calmed it instantly.
Ready for step three then. Treating its injury, if any.
Suddenly a small bush rustled. Both Hya and Nyurgh turned to see, and a small four-legged Pokemon came out, with a big head and a small twig on it, two tiny leaves growing on it. Its jaws were opened wide as it beheld the scene. "... Twig?"
"Well, here's your Turtwig I guess," Hyacinth said. "I need to tend to this poor bloke here... for the little I can do. I'll keep it quiet, so you can battle the Pokemon, ok?" He waited for the trainer to reply. "Good." The ranger picked a small mobile device, and dialed a number. "Hey, boss, Hyacinth here. I was escorting a trainer and we met a rampaging Armaldo. She's got a really bad eye injury, but I'm not sure what to do." Silence. "You think so? Ok then, I will."
The small Turtwig made a few timid steps forwards, confronting the trainer.

OOC: You can bet your license I'm happy about Turtwig.
IC: "Well, here's your Turtwig I guess," Hyacinth said. "I need to tend to this poor bloke here... for the little I can do. I'll keep it quiet, so you can battle the Pokemon, ok?" He waited for me to reply.
I was going to ask what would be done about Armaldo, but Turtwig distracted me in the same way the Pokedoll distracted Seedot.
"Oh yeah Turtwig!" I yelled, making the "oh shiny" face.
This is it, the moment of truth. This little bugger almost got me killed three times. I almost released all my Pokemon into the wild. I was yelled at, and I scared my Pokemon to death. I had to run for god knows how long until I finally decided on that escape. I took a brief moment to think.
"Hmm... Turtwig is still a young one," I thought, stroking my chin, wishing I had a beard, "I could send out Wartortle, but he'd be at a disadvantage. On top of that, it really doesn't obey me. Scizor and Drapion are out of the question. Both can possibly take Turtwig out in one shot, and they were super-obedient after that double battle. Porygon2 seemed like the logical choice, it was a computer, and it is highly likely that Turtwig has already been scanned into his databanks.
"Twig?" Turtwig asked, confused as to why I haven't moved.
"Porygon2, be gentle, I know this isn't a Munchlax, but it is just as good," I said in a hushed tone, "use Tri-Attack, but aim it at the ground in front of Turtwig! When it pops up, hit it with Discharge!"
The Jolly Pokemon collected my command and accessed the function tool in its programming. It charged and fired a collection of three beams. The beams were red, yellow, and blue and they contained, Fire, Electric, and Ice-type properties respectively. If the beams were by themselves, they'd be incredibly weak. What makes Tri-Attack strong is the fact that the three beams spiral, ensuring that they would strike. If everything went according to plan (that Armaldo occurence was the first to do so today), Tri-Attack would blow the ground out from under Turtwig, sending it airborne and cutting it off from its Electric-type immunity, giving Discharge the chance to strike at full power, and possibly paralyze the little turtle.

Porygon2 quickly obliged his trainer's orders, happy to oblige, and started getting ready. It floated and charged, beads of blue, red and yellow light gathering in front of the beak and its legs, and then the three beams fired, swirling in the air and mixing one another. The small grass Pokemon shied away, but didn't bulge, as the attack hit the ground and sent a blast of dirt at the Turtwig, that steadied itself after the second-hand impact. It didn't waste time, and retaliated by swinging its young leaves and shooting them at the mid-air Pokemon, meeting with the electric blast that ensued. You close your eyes at the flash, and when you open them Turtwig isn't in sight.
A bush rustles somewhere around you, as a second array of razor-sharp leaves make their way to the Virtual Pokemon.

OOC: Crafty little turtle.
IC: Another Razor Leaf flew from the bushes in Porygon2's direction. The green leaves quickly spiraled, ready to inflict their damage on my Pokemon.
"No sweat, use Discharge," I said.
Porygon2 released its electric energy making contact with the leaves. The collision of attacks let out another flash, causing me to be temporarily blinded. I desperately wanted to fire a Tri-Attack into the bushes, but Fire and Electric-type attacks combined, I wasn't willing to start a fire. But then, if I failed to apply pressure, Turtwig would flee. Then I remembered the perfect move.
"Porygon2, use your Signal Beam now," I said, my vision finally returning, "fire a steady stream at the bushes, chances are, we'll chase Turtwig out."
The obedient virtual Pokemon did as it was told. A multi-colored light formed at its beak as it prepared its attack. It then fired a multi-colored beam into the bush, and slowly began rotating its sleek body. My only fear was that Signal Beam was an incredibly effective attack to use against a Turtwig.

OoC: So clever, really. You expect a blind attack to connect so easily? If so, I must rejoice, you're making my job with this Pokemon easier.

Again, the two attacks met mid-air and nullified each other, by virtue of strength Vs efficacy.
"Porygon2, use your Signal Beam now!" you order.
The loosely duck-based Pokemon nods, and prepares to fire off a Signal Beam, bits of red and green datas leaving its body and becoming flashy glowing rays, connecting with the bush that rustled earlier.
No apparent effect was achieved, other than making the bush move a little more. Then from nearby Turtwig jumps out, rams right under its opponent, then stands on its hind legs and shot its third Razor Leaf aimed at the floating Pokemon's belly, scoring a direct hit. The Pokemon grinned mischievously as it watched its opponent lose foot and hit the ground.
Hyacinth winces as he watches the scene, but then his attention is requested by the needy Armaldo with a soft whine.
After that, Turtwig rasps the ground and rams into its opponent, lowering its head to strike with an Headbutt.

OoC: A little note, I got angry when you used Cross Poison at Seedot because it was strong, SE, and STABbed, but moves that are strong and SE are perfectly fine agaisnt healthy Pokemon. Oh, and I agree, it's a crafty turtle indeed

OOC: Crafty indeed. I will have to scan for a nature after this. But still, there's a move named after Porygon2. I'm not sure how Conversion2 works in the RP, so forgive me if I step out of line.
IC: The green turtle dipped its head low, ready to deliver a powerful Headbutt to Porygon2.
"Go, use Conversion2!" I roared.
Porygon2 scanned the previous attack, ready to change its type to something that would hopefully weaken Turtwig's attack. Steel-type would be preferred, but there is really no wrong way to resist an attack.
Turtwig's Headbutt attack rammed straight into Porygon2's now solid steel body. My virtual duck regained composure and rose back into the air, raring to take advantage of Turtwig's temporary dizziness.
"Okay, use Tri-Attack, aim at the turtle this time!" I yelled.
Like it had done earlier, Porygon2 formed three spheres. This attack symbolized the way my team worked. The sphere on the tip of its nose was a shiny red one, embued with the burning heart and soul of Drapion and Porygon2, burning whatever was caught in its wake. The blue sphere at its right foot represented the cold fighting style of Scizor, it was cruel, but it knew when it was going too far. The yellow sphere at the left foot represented the unpredictability of my Wartortle, a mischievous little turtle. The three spheres were connected by a thin line of energy and clustered together. Tri-Attack was fired, spinning and leaving a trail of red, blue, and yellow light as it progressed towards the hard-shelled turtle.

OoC: Conversion2 will change the user type to one that is resistant to the last move it got damaged from, in this case Razor Leaf. Also, you lose STAB, so maybe you'd want to reconsider using either move. I should probably just post but... Edit your post, then I'll continue.
EDIT: *rolleyes* perhaps I forgot to mention that Conversion2 chooses a random type? Oh well, I'll let this slip, I liked the reasoning behind Tri-attack.
***
Porygon2 analyzed the previous attack it took, as its trainer issued a Conversion2. Being a Grass-type attack, it would've resisted it by becoming a Steel, Fire, Grass, Flying or Bug type. And seeing the small Grass type hurrying itself to the Virtual Pokemon, it opted for a quick Steel, then braced for the impact.
The Headbutt connected, but the opponent was ready and didn't bulge, while the Grass Pokemon seemed really surprised at the resistance it met. It dizzily shook its head after the attack...
While Porygon2 didn't waste time, and charged another, considerably less powered but still quite strong, Tri-attack, that headed straight for the turtle, and met it head on, sending it flying back. When it regained its footing, a very mean glare ensued, and the twig Pokemon quickly ran to hide itself in the bushes, invisibly sneaking around to attack.

OOC: Whoops, my bad.
IC: The look Turtwig shot me when it regained composure was intimidating. But the sound of rustling bushes snapped me out of it. Last time, I had blindly fired Signal Beam into the brush, hoping it would chase it out. When Porygon2 was attacking one bush, Turtwig was in the bush right behind it. If it weren't for Conversion2, I could have easily been one Virtual Duck short of a party. I was curious what Turtwig had planned, surely it knew what another Headbutt would result it? What was I saying? This turtle is smarter than I am, of course it knows. I think the best option here was to let Turtwig come to me.
"Porygon2, use Recover! The second you see Turtwig, Lock-On to it!" I yelled.
Porygon2's wound-detection software was quickly put to work. The sleek pink-and-blue duck was surrounded in a yellow-orange veil. I watched as some of the physical signs of injury slowly melted away. For the second part of my command; Porygon2 focused its eyes, sending out a red laser, no different than the ones sent out by a laser pointer. If the twig Pokemon was caught in the laser, Porygon2 would be able to use its sensors to track Turtwig, wherever it went.

Ranger Hyacinth applied a makeshift patch over the Plate Pokemon's injured eye, quietly telling her to close it and stay calm, as it was likely to sting a little. The patch was dripping with a gooey liquid, a mixture of normal Healing Potion and a little of an elixir to avoid infections.
The Armaldo whimpered as the patch was applied but, under the caring pets of the young ranger, she didn't resume her rampage. "It's going to be fine, you'll feel better soon," he whispered to her as if unaware of the battle going on right next to them.
Meanwhile, the hovering Porygon2 started a quick debugging session, focusing on the deletion of sustained damage. As it did so, Turtwig didn't dare to show itself, and kept hidden, preparing its next attack.
It decided to get out right behind the Porygon2, lowering its head and launching a small seed from the sprouting twig. However, its opponent was merely waiting for it to show, and quickly used Lock-on on the grass Pokemon, making a small target appear on its forehead, as the seed planted itself in the nook of its neck. A little shock travelled through the Pokemon as the Leech Seed drew energy from it and used it to start sprouting.
***
Turtwign 52% locked on
VS
Steel-type Porygon2 95% Leech Seed(sprout)
***
OoC: since you may be a little confused at how Leech Seed will work, here's how I will make it work for this battle, since there's no canon yet.
For each move you do, the seed will zap 5% of your health, and won't heal who used it until it fully blooms.
Depending on the weather, once planted the seed will zap some health to fully grow. In clear sky, like this one, it's 2-3 attacks on your side, while if Sunny Day is on, 1 attack is enough, while in the Rain or Sandstorm 4-5, and in Hail it'll take a little longer, or might not bloom at all.
As it zaps health, vines will grow out of the seed and, when Leech Seed fully blooms, these vines will envelop the Pokemon's body and restrain it a little, making it harder to aim or dodge attacks, but not by much.
Now off you go.

OOC: Very interesting. And Leech Seed is a considered a Grass-type attack, isn't it? Yet, it is not anchored into the ground. That knowledge may prove useful in case this doesn't work.
IC: After recieving a substantial damage recovery, Turtwig finally decided to attack. Like before, it charged from behind my Virtual Pokemon and fired a single seed. The seed grew a small sprout that latched onto my Pokemon and absorbed some health to help it grow.
However, Porygon2 and I had anticipated that we would need to take some damage for our plan to work. So the attack came as no surprise to my Pokemon, it shook it off and set Turtwig into its sights. I had two options in attacks: Hyper Beam and Zap Cannon.
Hyper Beam was not as strong as before, because Porygon2 was a Steel-type now. Then again, it was guranteed not to be negated by anything Turtwig could do. Zap Cannon still isn't as strong as Hyper Beam, but it has the highest chance of paralysis out of any move, barring Thunderwave of course. However, if Turtwig were to dig itself into the ground, it would become immune to the electricity, and I would just waste another perfectly good oppurtunity. I didn't have too much time to think, the Leech Seed would continously sap Porygon2's health, and I had know clue what happens when the sprout is fully grown. I decided then and there to go for the sure thing.
"Porygon2! Turtwig is in your sights! Use Hyper Beam. But remember, hold back a little, okay?" I said.
Being a floating computer and having the Jolly nature, Porygon2 was a good judge in how much punishment its opponent could take. A bright orange ball appeared at the tip of its nose. Turtwig realized the threat of this powerful attack, but thanks to Lock-On, the tip of Porygon2's nose would follow it wherever it went. After a few seconds of charging, Porygon2 unleashed a large orange beam. To my relief, it did not look like it was fired at full powerful. There were two things that I would rather have happen. First, I hope Porygon2's calculations are so close, that Turtwig is extremely close to fainting. Or, I wish that Porygon2's calculations were off and Turtwig survived after taking some damage. As long as Turtwig was still fighting, I'd have no problem with the outcome.

Porygon2 began hastily analyzing its opponent, but... Hyper Beam wasn't a good choice. It would never have gone agaisnt his master's order, though, so it prepared the energy beam and fired it, trying to hold back as much as possible...
Turtwig knew all too well that that attack could've meant its end, so it tried to dive and duck, but Lock-On was in effect, and the orange beam simply followed it around. It even tried to hide again in the bushes, but it couldn't shake off the attack.
A small explosion echoed in the area, and Turtwig rolled on the floor, fainted.
Hyacinth probably had a witty reply at this, but he was too busy with the Armaldo to care...

OOC: Shoot. And let me guess, Turtwig is fainted so my Healing Potion is nothing doing right?
IC: Porygon2 displayed a look of disappointment as Turtwig lied on the ground, knocked out. I did not blame my Pokemon however, my old personality caused me to turn to the ranger, but I saw how tentatively he cared for that Armaldo and knew that it was my fault. I was once again torn, I had built myself up too much, and of course I over-analyzed things. It seemed like this trip to the National Park failed to serve its purpose. I was supposed to shake the struggle of the outside world, instead my heart was weighed down more than ever. I almost, almost, considered giving up. Hell, I was extremely close.
"I think I wanna..." I was about to say, when a white flash in my bag interrupted me.
To my surprise, my blue turtle popped out of his Pokeball. He defied me at every turn, so why not defy me now. I picked up a pair of Pokeballs, first recalling my painfully loyal Porygon2. The second red beam was aimed at Wartortle. The naughty swiftly avoided the beam, sticking out his tongue. I sweatdropped, and quickly fired another beam. This time the beam successfully snagged Wartortle, but the ball burst open again. I raised the ball, once again ready to retrieve my Pokemon, when it suddenly ran off, deeper into the garden.
"Wartortle, stop!" I yelled, "we can't get too far away from Ranger Hya!"
But my Pokemon didn't listen to me, he kept running, but when it was barely in sight, he stopped and waved his arm, signalling me to follow. I turned to find Ranger Hya still working on Armaldo. It was a tough choice: leave the most reliable defense and save my Pokemon, or stick with the Ranger and lose Wartortle to the wild Grass-types? I watched the ranger for a minute, but the yelp of a turtle snapped me from my daze. Something was attacking Wartortle!
"Ranger Hya, Wartortle is in trouble, take care of Armaldo, I'll be back as soon as I can!" I yelled, not waiting to hear the ranger's reply.

OoC: exactly, if the Pokemon is fainted it can't swallow. And since the occasion allows it, I'd like to show you that the Park isn't only Pokemon appearing...
Oh, and Porygon2 is at 90%, don't forget.

After the Hyper Beam fainted the Turtwig, Nyurgh recalled his Pokemon with a sigh. As he was about to say something, suddenly his Wartortle popped out of his pokeball and mischievously ran in the deeper part of the tropical woods, his trainer torn up as to what to do. Suddenly his Pokemon screamed- or so it seemed.
"Ranger Hya, Wartortle is in trouble, take care of Armaldo, I'll be back as soon as I can!" he said to the other man.
"But..." Hya protested as the rash trainer went after his Pokemon. He sighed. "Rue, please keep an eye on him, ok?"
His Alakazam nodded, and set off after them, teleporting shortly after having found a link with their minds.
Armaldo nudged gently- yet rather roughly, given her size- the ranger, pushing him away slightly. "You're a needy girl, aren't you? Wait a moment, I'll be back soon with some other medicaments."
***
You follow the sound you heard earlier, shoving the giant plants out of your way as they clutter the narrow path you're following. You call Wartortle out, and hear his reply. Worried, you blindly run in the direction the cry came from...
And you fall into a pitfall, hitting the bottom with a thud. The walls are too smooth for you to climb on, but maybe a Pokemon could quickly jump from wall to wall to get out of there. Problem is, they're not likely to be able to carry you AND do that at the same time.
You notice a thick vine hanging like a swing from a nearby branch over you. It's too high for you to reach, but it looks sturdy enough to carry your weight.
A set of snickers echoes from the borders of the trap.
***
OoC: Now let's see how you deal with this. Also, on a different but related (to the previous posts anyway) note: depending on your Pokemon strength, 70+ BP stabbed or SE attacks should be used only as the opponent is at full health, then only weak attacks.

OOC: I SMELL A TRAP!(Is it too late for that though?)
IC: Once again, I charged into things without thinking straight. This time though, I literally landed on my ass. The hole was deep, I was almost five feet tall and I could barely reach halfway. I heard snickers coming from around the hole. Damn! Someone, or something, had trapped me. They obviously had wicked intentions, as they stuck around the outside, instead of just leaving me in the hole. That is when I noticed a vine, just out of my reach.
I was left with several options. First, I could wait in this hole for Ranger Hya to drive away whatever was waiting top-side and save me; the wuss way out. There was the option of piggy backing on Drapion to grab the vine and climb out, but then I'd be at the mercy of whatever was waiting above. I had to think for a minute. I had heard several chuckles, but why did I automatically assume that the hole was surrounded? If I let out all three of the Pokemon I had with me, and assuming the hole wasn't surrounded, I could intimidate whatever was up there.
I did just that, releasing the three Pokemon I had with me. Porygon2 was still trying to catch its breath from the Hyper Beam. I rubbed the virtual pokemon's sleek body.
"Do you think you can perform Magnet Rise?" I asked gently.
Porygon2, the crowd-pleaser, obediently did as it was told. It slowly rose into the air. I turned to my dark purple ogre scorpion and climbed onto his shoulders. I was able to reach the vine, and with Porygon2's guidance, I was able to slowly climb up. Scizor, the pincer Pokemon fluttered her wings and was able to bounce off the sides of the pitfall. Finally the three of us made it to the top to find that I had been afraid of...

Ooc I should've been more accurate. My bad. Now, either we have it my way- but I'm not telling you which is my way, you figure it out- ot you'll be stuck in there for a while
AND I'M NOT A WUSS!
***
The vine is out of your reach. Way out of your reach. If it wasn't so thickly wrapped around the branch maybe it'd be long enough, but fact is, it is. You can't climb on your poke and grab it though.
From Drapion's shoulders, you reach the borders with the tips of your fingers, but as you try to grasp for something solid the dirt crumbles and you fall back.
The snickers continue. Apparently, they're not intimidated by your two Pokemon- probably they're outnumbering you greatly- but you can't see who it is. You hear a metallic cackle joining in. Apparently, your Porygon2 thinks you look funny, or the crowd has told it a good joke, you can't understand.

OOC: Lol, I meant that not taking action would make me a wuss. Lol, who would've thought Porygon2 would play the role of "Buffalo Bill", the funny one from Joe Dirt, not the scary one from Silence of the Lands.
IC: I was so close, at the edge of the hole! I made the mistake of getting off Drapion, letting the loose dirt of the edge drop me down, for the third time today, I fell on my ass. Drapion helped me back to my feet, I looked up and saw that Scizor and Porygon2 were out of sight. I assumed the worst had happened, until I heard a Microsoft Sam-eque snicker. Well, Porygon2 lived up with its Jolly nature. I'm surprised I didn't hear an "Lol", laughing out loud if you would, erupt from the internet-obsessed Pokemon.
"And to think I called you loyal!" I yelled to the Virtual Duck.
Of course, the things outside the hole only found this increasingly hilarious. They were still laughing at me! This was when fear seeped in, Drapion and I were stuck in this hole, with some weird force surrounding the exit. I panicked and made several rash jumps, slipping down the hole each time, chunks of the earth following me. Drapion seemed unfazed, which annoyed me greatly. Wartortle could be dead by now, Porygon2 had the audacity to be amused, and Scizor... It dawned on me: there was no reply from Scizor! Drapion's Adamant personality became my favorite thing, I decided to turn on a bit of waterworks and see where it got me.
"D-d-d-drapion!" I yelled, sniffing heavily, "Wartortle is... gone! Porygon2 is being hypnotized! Those...things up there find amusement from us being trapped in a hole!"
"Drape?" he replied, having no idea what angle I was working, or that I was even working one for that matter.
"And Scizor!" I wheezed, smirking when Drapion bolted, "she's a female. This guys already find my being stuck here... f-f-f-unny. Who knows what they plan to, or are already doing to Scizor?"
"DRAPION!" the ogre scorpion roared, if it weren't for his enormous size, I was almost certain it would have leapt out of the hole and delivered a fatal blow to those waiting above.
Whoever was tormenting us would surely pay, and Drapion would make sure of it. The only problem is that we are still stuck in the hole. Then I remembered something: Whenever I kicked off the wall, dirt will fill the hole. With Drapion's ferocity, would he be able to dig our way out of the hole. I had no choice but to try.
"Drapion! Attack the wall, make it come down so we have a slope to run up!" I yelled, pointing at the chunk of earth I had kicked out, "Hope this works."

OoC: you know, the world doesn't revolve around you. Not everything in the Park is looking for your head- actually nothing is trying to kill you, unless there is a good reason behind it. This said, let's go.
***
"Shouldn't you be helping him out?"
"He called Master a wuss. Let him panick a little. Besides, Master said to keep an eye on him, not to save his ungrateful ass at the tiniest challenge."
The ranger's Alakazam had kept in telephatic contact, so the one near her trainer knew everything had happened.
"Hm, you've got a point. I'm sure he could work it out."
The male Alakazam was resting on the trunk of a tree, watching the crowd of Pokemon in front of him: the Scizor was just outside the border, out of view. Having not received any other order after the "intimidate them", and that order being nullified by Porygon2's antics, she went back to the edge of the hole, peeking in, as she heard her name.
Porygon2 was simply playing with the clan of trap diggers, apparently busy in a round of peckaboo with one of them, giggling.
As Nyurgh paces the hole, probably reveling in the drama, angst and psychological damage he's causing to his Drapion, a strangled yelp is heard under him. His Wartortle shook off the dirt covering him and rubbed his tail, which his trainer had carelessly stepped on.
Drapion was then ordered to attack the walls, but he soon lost interest in that as he saw Scizor, relieved that his trainer's speech was a meaningless babble. He proceeded to attack the walls but his focus wasn't on it, and it just made a little pile of dirt slide down.
***
OoC: *sigh* and here I was thinking the answer was even too easy. I'll give you a tip: the key is the vine. You can't reach it, but it doesn't mean that your Pokemon can't reach it as well. However, it's coiled on the branch, tugging it won't work.
Nyurgh
06-25-2009, 08:53 PM
OOC: Lol, okay then.
IC: Drapion stopped his rush as Scizor peeked over the edge of the hole. I was disgusted with them. Now that I couldn't use their love to get me to do what I want, I had to think of something else.
"Scizor, what's waiting for me at the top?" I asked, then sighed as neither Pokemon was particularly interested in me at the moment.
My attention turned back to the vine, more importantly, the branch it was wrapped around. If the branch wasn't attached too firmly to the tree, the vine would be able to drop down low enough for me to reach. I heard more electronic snickers above ground. Damn Porygon2, we would most certainly have a loyalty discussion when this is all over. But right now, I needed Scizor's help. I recalled Drapion, so it would not distract the pincer Pokemon.
"Scizor, see that branch with the vine on it?" I yelled, "hit it with Iron Head!"
Scizor lowered her head and flapped her wings. She jumped, heading straight for the branch with the vine on it.
"Oh crap!" I thought, not wanting to break Scizor's concentration.
Chances are, my pincer pokemon would drop into the hole. To make sure I didn't get crushed, I had her Pokeball ready he second she began dropping.

ooC: really, couldn't you just cut that damn thing? Really. And here I was trying to setup a viable scene for the use of HMs, or workarounds... Guess Iron Head works fine though...
***
You order your Scizor to break the branch with Iron Head, and she complies. The sudden attack makes the clan of unknown Pokemon to cry "Buneary!" and run away, fearing revenge. Only the peckabooing one didn't flee- it just didn't notice, so engrossed it was playing with Porygon2.
The branch didn't resist the sudden charge and fell down after Scizor. You're ready to catch her in your Pokeball, but the branch... Let's just say it hits you.
And you faint.
Something splashes your face, cold and hard, making you wide awake as your Wartortle finds your reaction funny.
You're both stuck in the hole, with a fallen branch and a thick, long vine. If you had anything to tie it with, you could use it to climb up. Too bad you just broke the branch, genius. It probably is long enough to be tied around a nearby tree and still reach the bottom of the hole, but you'd need first someone up there.
***
"There," the ranger said after he finished his nursing. "It should hold, and you'll be fine soon. You can go now," he added, patting the Armaldo on the arm.
In answer, she rubbed her smooth, hard skin on his face. "There, there, no need to do that. It's my job." She then held him in a crushing bear-hug, squeezing the living day out of him. "Oof... Ok, I understand you're happy... But you're going to kill me like this."
She blushed a little and let go. "Thanks..." Hya said as he caught his breath. He scratched his head. "I should go check on Nyurgh now... Mint, can you lead me?"
His female Alakazam nodded and led the way, her trainer and the female Armaldo in tow.

OOC: LOL I FORGOT ABOUT THE BRANCH. Whoops, forgot you mentioned Turtwig couldnt drink it. Can I still get away with it? I mean, the potions in the anime are all usable in spray form. Plus, I'm not using this for the benefit of a battle, it's more a plot-mover.
IC: I sweatdropped, finding a pile of me, the tree branch, and the vine, with me on the bottom of course. My face was wet and Wartortle was right in front of me, chuckling. I sweatdropped, he was stuck in the hole now too. He seemed to realize this and immediately tried to run up the side, merely kicking dirt onto my wet face. I freed my hand to wipe off the mud, then looked at the pile. I beamed, Team Rocket and Ash Ketchum were the only other people I ever heard of that could come out of a mess like this unharmed.
I was incredibly sore however, it took me several tries to wriggle out from under the branch, I leaned against the pit, Porygon2 was still giggling. I turned to Wartortle, he was still worried about being stuck in the hole. I had a hard time trusting the turtle, but he was light enough for Porygon2 to lift out of the hole. Still, I had to get Porygon2's attention. That's when I remembered the cry that the things outside of the hole made when Scizor hit the branch. I smacked myself in the face, punishing myself because I had mistaken this michief as a death threat.
Then I realized that Buneary could easily hop out of this hole! The problem was getting the little bunny in here so it could grap the vine. I reached into my bag and pulled out a spray bottle, amazed that it had survived the fall. I took a moment of consideration, Buneary liked mischief and fun, judging by Porygon2's chuckles. If it meant getting myself out of the hole, I sprayed the Healing Potion on my body, sighing as I felt no effect. I guess it really was for Pokemon only.
"Wartortle, use Water Gun!" I said, leaving it vague enough for the Naughty Pokemon to pull a prank.
I quickly pulled the top off the healing potion bottle and held it towards Wartortle. The gush of water came towards me direction. Not only did it soak me, but it also filled the bottle! I smiled, now to put up another good act. I aimed the bottle at Wartortle and pulled the trigger, spraying a small amount of water at its face.
I laughed, "Who's wet now Wartortle!" I was thoroughly enjoying this, spritzing the Water-type with more water. Porygon2 stopped giggling, I heard something hop, "this is the funniest prank ever. Try it Wartortle!" I sprayed the turtle with water again.
I chuckled, almost forgetting why I was doing this in the first place, "are there any Buneary up there? If there are, I'll give you this new toy if you do me a quick favor."
OOC: Hopefully bartering works.

And btw, I can sell you potions as well, but you can't use them in battle because mine have to be drank. The ones you buy at the Park Mart have the spray and can be used in battle.

You empty the potion on you, but apparently it has no effect. It only makes the shallow cuts caused earlier by the Seedot sting.
Then you ask Wartortle to fill the bottle, staying vague to let him play a prank on you. And you retaliate by spraying him back.
The ruckus attracts the EVIL BUNNY THE CHAOSBRINGER's attention, and it hops to the border to see what's going on. It appears interested in the new toy you're offering.
It hops down the pitfall and lands near you, trying uselessly to snatch the bottle from your hand- even trying to bargain it with a Tamato berry at one point. "If you want this, you'll have to do me a quick favor," you say.
"What's going on here?" you hear Hyacinth say as he takes a peek in the hole. "Just what are you doing with a wild Buneary down there?"

"What's going on here?" I hear Hyacinth say as he takes a peek in the hole. "Just what are you doing with a wild Buneary down there?"
"I got stuck, and then I knocked down this vine, but it snapped, so now I'm really stuck," I explained, "I was trying to get Buneary to help me out of the hole," I turned to the rabbit, handing it the spray bottle, "thanks anyways little buddy", I turned to the ranger standing at the top of the hole, "mind tying this around a tree?"
I picked up the vine and began twirling it as if it were a lasso. I built up as much strength in my arm as possible and let it fly! I sweatdropped as it barely reached the edge and dropped back down. I guess I wasn't as strong as I thought I was... I turned to find that the Buneary hadn't left yet.
"Hey, do you mind getting this to the big man up there?" I asked, displaying the vine and pointing to the ranger.
The rabbit stared at me with a blank look on its face, to help me, it would have to set down its precious new toy. I saw the look in its eyes, and knew what had to be done.
"Okay, I'll make a deal with you Buneary," I said, ignoring how ridiculous I probably looked, making a deal with the bunny, "Remember Porygon2? The ducky? I will let you play with it all day if you help me, and you can keep that new toy too. How does that sound?" I smiled, still holding the vine, trying with all my might not to yell as I received a blank stare.

"Couldn't you just ask Porygon2 to lift the vine for you?" Hya asks as he sees the disappointment on your face. "Wait a minute. I've got it. Mint, lift the vine with your Psychic attac and ooof," he says as the Armaldo he had nursed- and who had followed him- playfully tackles him, making him wince a litte. "Err... Armaldo, you want to help as well?" She nods. "OK then, you can pull him up. Ok?" She nods again, a smile creeping on her face. "Good. Nyurgh, tie the other end around your waist, and tell me when you're ready."
You nod, and do as he says, as the female Alakazam lifts the other end of the vine with a flick of her wrist, and hands it to the young ranger, that in turn fastens it to the hooked claws of the Plate Pokemon, and she begins to pull you out of the pitfall.
The tan and brown bunny quickly follows, the bottle tightly held in his hand.

Once I'm safely out of the hole, I kiss the ground of the upper level. I turn to see the little Buneary with th spray bottle, just standing there. It caused a lot of trouble for me and my Pokemon. I had been as nice as I possibly could while I was stuck in the hole. But I had yet to catch a single Pokemon on my excursion, and if Buneary evolves into what I think it does, I could do some damage with a Lopunny.
"Wartortle, use Hydro Pump," I told my turtle, then I quickly caught my mistake, "On Buneary!"
The blue turtle turned and readied a pool of water in his mouth. He thrust his body forward, sending out a geyser of high-pressured water at the little rabbit.

"Wartortle, use Hydro Pump," you order, then you add. "On Buneary!" After all, you an never be too cautious with a naughty Pokemon. Even your own.
The turtle Pokemon groans as he prepares the attack.
"Careful there," ranger Hyacinth warns. "We don't want this to faint as well, do we?"
Hm, maybe he might've been a little more subtle about his statement, but hey, warnings are always welcome, aren't them?
Behind the ranger, Armaldo watches the scene bemused. She seems to be wondering about something, but she's a Pokemon, so you're not sure what she's focusing on. For all you know, she might be eyeing the Buneary as her next meal.
The bunny Pokemon was engrossed in figuring out how its new toy worked, giving its back to the naughty water Pokemon. Such a mistake, isn't it? Wartortle wickedly grins as he prepares to blast a powerful high-pressure water bullet, aiming at the back of the unaware Pokemon's head. The blast is shot, and flies to its target.
The Buneary's ears perk up, and in a swift and graceful backwards leap it jumps over the attack, avoiding it completely. You feel like you've seen the scene before- maybe in a movie or something. You catch a glimpse of its face, and it's grinning.
Then it lands... well, not so gracefully. It falls on its head, and tumbles a little, the used spray bottle falling from its paws and down the pit. When it gets up, the Pokemon notices the missing item, and franctically looks around searching for its toy.
And when it doesn't find it around, it starts crying.

OOC: I'll heed that warning. I've screwed myself over in plenty of ways before.
IC: Wartortle snickers at the crying Buneary. I can't help but feel responsible. I recall my turtle, in order to make sure that it does not cause any further trouble. I turn to the rabbit, seeing it continue to cry. Maybe a capture attempt would go over easier if it wasn't throwing a fit. It would sure help the taming process too. I remember seeing something fall into the pit, so naturally, it was the first place I looked.
"Don't cry, I'll get the toy for you," I say, peering down the hole, thankful that I'm at the top, "the only question is... how?"
Buneary was still broken up, I doubt I could get it to jump down the pit and retrieve it itself. Scizor could just jump off the walls and reach the top, as it had done before. But the spray bottle, it could just as easily be broken in those meaty claws. Porygon2 sounded like the perfect option, it could float in and out of the pit with ease. However, it lacked the means to pick up the spray bottle, and it was much too light for me to ride.
I could just walk away, let the Buneary cry itself to sleep. I didn't sign any paperwork telling me that I had to babysit any Pokemon. Then I noticed the vine that was still wrapped around my waist. I knew that to retrieve the spray bottle, I would need Drapion's help. I released the purple Ogre Scorpion, and told him to turn around, so that his back faced the hole. I then proceeded to tie the vine around the tail.
"Okay Drapion, when I give the word, pull me back up," I told my Pokemon, "here goes nothing."
I give the vine one last tug, to make sure it would hold me. I took a deep breath and took one step into the pit. I pressed my feet against the wall and slowly, carefully, repelled down to the bottom. I found the bottle on the bottom of the pit, right beside the branch. I was still baffled as to how those things survive a drop like that. I picked up the bottle and turned to the wall.
"Okay Drapion, start walking, slowly," I told it, emphasizing the slowly part.
The now obedient Drapion did what he was told. We both walked forward, one step at a time. The process was somewhat tedious, but it was worth it I reached the top again. Drapion used his claw to cut the vine from his tail. I recalled my Pokemon and slowly coiled the vine, taking extra care not to drop the bottle I had put in my pocket.
"Hope you don't mind if I keep this while I'm here," I ask the ranger, "this vine has helped me out twice today."
Then I turn to Buneary, who was still crying. I had to find the perfect way to show it that I found its told. And remembering how Buneary had fiddled with the toy, the idea dawned on me.
"Hey little buddy," I said in my gentle tone, "Watch this."
I made sure Buneary was able to see what I was doing, I leaned close to it and pointed at the trigger. I aimed the spray bottle towards my face as I did this.
"Put your paw on the button," I said, placing my finger on the button again, "and watch what happens."
OOC: What? I'm not going to wail on a *snickers* wailing Pokemon.

As you recall Wartortle and try to figure out a way to get its spray bottle back, a hidden grin appears on the bunny face, but before it does anything you've already climbed down the hole to get the thing.
Drapion lifts you up.
"Go ahead, it's just a vine. And you know," the ranger says after you're out. "You could've asked me to help. It's not like you've got to do everything alone, do you?"
You shrug his comment off as, after kneeling, you show the Buneary how to use the tool, and it quickly understands, spraying you with some more water, giggling. With a smile on your face, you stand up and prepare to continue the battle, when suddenly you lose foot. Somehow, the ground became slippery. You look down, trying your best not to fall down butt-first, and you notice that the ground right under you has been frozen.
You look at the wild Pokemon as it hops a few steps back, carefully placing the bottle in a small hole in a tree, and then it turns to face you, still giggling a little, mocking you as you try to balance yourself.

IC: The frozen ground caught me by surprise. Then I came to the conclusion that Buneary may be a Normal-type, but it can learn moves of various types, just like Porygon2. When that thought came to mind, I knew which of my Pokemon to use.
"Porygon2, let's go!" I said, waving at the virtual duck that had been nonchalantly floating next to us, "don't worry buddy, I think I know how to handle this one."
Porygon2's eyes literally light up. It seems to have shaken off any regret from the previous encounter with Turtwig. I had learned something as well. Scizor, Drapion, and I were a perfect match, all of our personalities synched up. We fought our hardest, thought first, asked questions later. That was fine, but Porygon2 was different, harder to master. We would have to combine our thoughts, and I couldn't expect Porygon2 to become my type, so I had to become its. I would have to analyze every aspect of this battle. In order to freely lean my body, I had to sit on the patch of ice. I turned, to the right of me was the pit. To the left of me were Ranger Hyacinth, his Pokemon, Armaldo, and a grove of trees. There was a patch of bushes and more trees further behind Buneary. Still, I had yet to see the rabbit use any form of offense. I closed my eyes and reflected on what I knew about this specific rabbit.
"Let's play a game!" I yelled smiling, "we'll play tag, you're it!" I beamed, trying my best to look as naive as possible, "Better watch out Porygon2, you don't wanna be tagged!"
I just hoped my virtual duck was prepared to dodge the rabbit.

"Let's play a game of tag!" you yell smiling as your happy-go-ducky Pokemon lets out a shrill cry of unmistakable joy. "Better watch out Porygon2, you don't want to be tagged."
Buneary watches bemused as you issue the "order".
"Maybe..." Hyacinth starts suggesting. "Maybe he doesn't know what tag is? As in, what it means in our language. They may be smart and fast learners, but you can't expect them to understand everything we say..."
Still, the bunny Pokemon does make a move, as you freeze your ass on the frozen ground. It opens its mouth, sucking in a great deal of air as some kind of teal energy coats the muzzle of the Pokemon, then it exhales, blasting spears of cerulean energy to the ground, freezing a rather wide path in straight line, with a small ramp at the end.
Then it starts sliding, beaming at the virtual Pokemon with a lovely look on its face, winking a little as well, making the Porygon2 blush at the attention.

As Buneary winks at Porygon2, I know that is has something planned. It slides across the ice as if it's Iceman. It had dodged Wartortle's Hydro Pump with ease, but now it was on frozen water. I quickly pushed myself, sliding off the ice and onto the regular terrain of the Botanical Gardens.
"Porygon2, hang in there buddy, use Discharge on the ice!" I commanded.
Something told me that Porygon2 would have a hard time bringing itself to attack Buneary directly, so I had to think of ways for it to attack, without directing the attack at Buneary. The wave of electricity struck the ice, causing it, and the ice around it, to melt. The water caused the attack to spread, melting more ice and spreading the attack. This happened at an alarmingly fast rate. I watch as the electricity neared my intended target and smiled.

As you issue the order, Buneary curls up in a ball, barreling on the ice path faster than before.
Porygon2, meanwhile, charges up electricity around itself, sending the spiraling energy on the ice path just as the bunny took off the ramp, getting zapped in the making.
Electricity crackling around the furball, the Pokemon collides with your own, and they both fall on the ground, taking some damage. Obviously, Buneary took more damage, but it was protected slightly by the defending curl and the barreling that helped discharging the energy. However, Porygon2 received some zapping from its own move during the hit.
Buneary stomped and shook its messed-up fur to release the remaining static charge, and then, as its opponent took off the ground, the bunny hopped on the spot, higher then higher, and as it decided hopping on the spot wasn't funny enough, it started hopping all around, bouncing on the ground with great reflexes, non-stop.

Buneary was moving fast! If I wanted to have a clear shot, I would have to slow it down somehow. Porygon2 was shaken up from the attack, but it didn't have the move for the job.
"Porygon2, get back!" I said, recalling my Pokemon, "Scizor, use that move I taught you!"
I threw the Pokeball, releasing the red pincer Pokemon. Scizor built up energy in her body. She ignored Buneary, instead choosing to focus on the task she was given. Suddenly, sand started to slowly circle around the area the bunny hopped. Suddenly a swirling tornado of sand appeared, ripping through the terrain as it tried to engulf the rabbit.

You recall your Porygon2, then send out Scizor. "Use the move I taught you!" you order
Ranger Hyacinth wonders what you mean with that- he never liked being kept in the dark- when suddenly the pincher Pokemon runs around the area at unnatural speed, dirt flying from the ground as a small dust devil is created. You and the ranger shield your eyes as the sand threatens to blind you, and you hear Buneary letting out a startled cry as it's whipped by the sandstorm and thrown away from its Bounce attack, losing some energy in the making.
Squinting its eyes, it tries to detect Scizor's position, but to no avail. Nor it nor you can see the steel Pokemon in the sandstorm, as it's too far from your reduced range. However, the small Pokemon, knowing it could be attacked anytime now, startes firing Ice Beam at random, hoping to hit something as Sandstorm keeps on whipping it more and more.
And it succeeds. Suddenly, the sandstorm slows down at first, then dies completely, as you notice your Pokemon's left leg frozen solid.
Then you feel a little cold in your lower body, and looking down- surprise!- you find out that a stray Ice Beam managed to freeze off your foot and stuck it to the ground.
And then you see Buneary ramming to Scizor, ears first.

OoC: this kind of freezing won't induce damage- yet-, but it greatly reduces poor Scizor's speed and ability to dodge attacks. But, since most of your body is free from the ice, you can try to free yourself... in any way you see fit, before it starts hurting.

OOC: Interesting... My foot is frozen. Will the ice grow on me as the pain increases?
IC: My foots was frozen into the ground! But Scizor was the one being targetted. Buneary rammed its ear into her body, knocking it back slightly, tugging her leg in the ice. I tried to recall her, but the ice kept the pincer Pokemon nestled in the ground.
"Scizor, use Metal Claw on your frozen leg, damn, carefully though!" I yelled, emphasizing the latter part of my message.
The bug's claws began glowing with a faint silver glow. She swung them at the ice, chipping away at it. So far, my fear of her leg snapping off seemed unrealized. Then the ice slowly shrank, getting closer to Scizor's leg.
"One more hit!" I told her.
She swung the claw down, busting open the front of the ice restraint! Her first instinct was to do the same to my leg, but my fear sank in.
"No, no, no! No, I'll be fine!" I yelled, slightly confusing my Pokemon, "we have to focus on Buneary, use Air Slash!"
I watched as Scizor's wings beat fiercly, sending small shock waves of air flying towards Buneary. Air Slash was a dangerous move because the attack was practically invisible to the naked eye. My attention was soon taken away from the attack as my foot began stinging.

OoC: no, the ice won't grow, as there is no source that will "feed" it. And you avoided my question: the Sandstorm attack, was it your idea? 'Cause I saw it somewhere else too ;p
***
Not hearing any new order, Scizor braced herself as Buneary attacked with a set of fluffy ear-punches. The attack wasn't very effective, unfortunatly.
You then ordered Scizor to use Metal Claw on her leg, but carefully, as the bunny Pokemon had to step back a little in recoil, rubbing its ears.
Your Pokemon complied, carefully tearing apart the ice coating over her leg, defending at the best of her ability as Buneary kept assaulting her.
As she's freed herself, Scizor turned to you, but you redirected her attention to Buneary in fear. "Use Air Slash!"
Scizor sent her opponent flying back, then started flapping the steel-like membrane wings, the friction making a remarkable noise. The invisible blade was shot, making a "swiish" noise as it travelled the air to its target.
Buneary, however, demostrated that ears weren't just for show. It perked them up, detecting the attack's direction, and jumping out of the way.
Too bad it didn't guess the size of the attack well enough, as the Pokemon crashed into a sidewave of pure energy.
The Pokemon fell down, huffing lightly as it tried to regain its composure, eyeing its surrounding trying to think of something. Behind it, a couple of trees, surrounded in low grass- too low to cover anything- and a few patches of ice here and there.
The giant hole was behind Scizor, but she was too far from it for a mad tackle to be able to send her down there.
It still thought it was worth a shot. So the bunny leapt and quickly rammed again into the mantis Pokemon, ready to attack.

IC: "Foolish move Buneary!" I yelled, feeling increased pain in my foot, "Scizor, use Iron Defense!"
Scizor's defense was perfect, by surrounding herself in the same metallic aura that she uses for a Metal Claw, she would double her defenses. I smiled, this battle seemed as good as mine.
Suddenly my foot began stinging worse than anything I've ever felt before. I sneezed, feeling cold. The ice that trapped my foot was starting to do its damage. But still, I didn't wanna try breaking the ice. I have heard too many stories, fiction or not, of people shattering when they strike the ice. I had to find a way to simply melt the ice. Drapion's Fire Fang could do that easily.
"Come on out Drapion, I need you to get as close to my foot as you can and use Fire Fang!" I yelled, unleashing the ogre scorpion.
He let loose his fangs, and a strange chemical covered them. As soon as the chemical came in contact with oxygen, it combusted, setting his teeth on fire. The scorpion leaned forward, getting close enough to my frozen foot so I could feel the warmth. Slowly, I could feel the ice melt away. I returned my focus to the battle at hand.

IC: Last time I tried to help Buneary, the entire ground was frozen under me. I had to think a moment. Scizor could do some damage, but is that why Buneary was crying? My foot was finally free, and I decided to take a shot in the dark. I slowly walked towards the bunny, being gentle on my numb foot.
"Mind backing off a little Scizor?" I asked calmly.
My pincer Pokemon slowly stepped back, slightly confused about my intentions. I stepped in front of the weeping bunny and crouched down, a sharp pain soon arose in my previously frozen foot.
"Hey there little one," I said, calmly smiling, "you've met my team. Scizor, Drapion, Porygon2, and even Wartortle. You seem to like to have a lot of fun, but I wonder; are you bored of the gardens? Would you like to see what kind of lives the people who visit you live? There tons of fun things outside of the National Park."
Of course, I ignored the fact that I could only take one Pokemon from the Park, and there was still plenty of time for me to catch a Turtwig. Still, no sense in assuming I'd find another, so I reached into my pocket and pulled out a dark green ball: The Nature Ball. I gently tossed the ball at the bunny and hoped I was successful.

We walk for what feels like hours, some Pokemon scamper around, but none of them stayed long enough for me to start a battle. Once again, my foot starts to ache. I decide to use the vine as a makeshift cast, I approach it casually, hoping that Ranger Hyacinth won't make a big deal out of it and pull me from the park. I step on the vine and begin wrapping it around my pantleg. I feel a slight sting, but I completely ignore it when the bushes start to rustle right in front of me.

The ranger notices, and sighs. It's the millionth time I tell him he doesn't have to do everything alone, yet he still ignores me... Why should I bother? he thinks. Ash Ketchum should be sued for his "I-can-do-it-all-alone" attitude.

The ranger approaches you, and helps you standing up. "You all right?" he asks concerned.
From the bush, a small cherry hops out, in a state of apparent bliss as it basks in the sunlight that filters from the canopy over you. The quite swishing sound of the trees' mane in the light breeze seems a perfect theme song for the watermouthing ruby Pokemon, whose expression is as relaxed as the one on its smaller face, a nirvana-esque goofy smile. You work on a lame excuse as you face the ranger, after you finished fixing the vine around your leg.
He mumbles something you can't really hear, but that sounds vaguely like "stupid trainers always trying to look tough".
You both walk past the relaxing Cherubi, that glances at you briefly before waving you off as uninteresting, and deeper in the garden, as slowly the forest changes look- from more tropical trees to milder species, with scarce hints of pines scattered in the sea of green.
As you behold the scenery, ranger Hya stops before you, the wild Armaldo still in tow- looks like she took a liking to the ranger. He scratches his head as he looks at the huge wall of grass in front of him. The green fortress stand tall and wide, surrounding a rather large zone of the garden, a mix of different kinds of plants mingled together by some unnatural force. There's even some berry plants in there!
The ranger gets closer to the wall, checking if any berry is mature enough, then he picks an Aspear Berry and tosses it to you. "Eat it. Should help with the stinging in your foot. Careful, the peel is very hard."
His attention is then diverted to the Armaldo, who had started wandering around the wall a little and cried to get the human to follow her.
She had found an entrance.
It's around four-feet-three tall, and much larger, it could probably let thru a Rayquaza- if they ever bothered slithering on the ground instead of soaring the skies. However, four thick vines cross each other, sealing the entrance. If you listen closely, you can hear the sound of many Pokemon coming from behind the wall.
"Good girl," the ranger says as he scratches behind the rock bug- a hard feat t accomplish, yet he did. Even better, she murred as he did it. The human turns to you. "Well, guess it's time for you to choose the way. Don't worry too much about cutting the vines- they'll grow back. You want to go on or see what's behind this?"

After working off the peel and finishing the berry, I turned my attention to the vines Armaldo had discovered. I only had four Nature Balls with me, but there wasn't a single healing item. Still, Ranger Hyacinth always said he'd be there to help in case of emergency, and he certainly proved that in the early stages of this visit. I reached into my pocket, digging out Scizor's Pokeball.
"Alright, cut down these vines with X-Scissor!" I yelled, releasing the ball.
The red pincer Pokemon did as she was told and folded her arms. After pulling back energy for a second, her claws began to glow green, so she unleashed a magnificent attack. A green "X" materialized as she swiped through the vines, cutting all of them, except for a small traingular nub the barely hung over the entrance of the cave. Scizor smiled, but she was panting heavily.
"I know you wanna keep fighting girl," I said, recalling her back into her Pokeball, "but Drapion has taken the least damage, out of the three Pokemon who actually obeyed me."
I tossed out another Pokeball which contained a purple ogre scorpion. Drapion, the Pokemon that gained man status for not only fighting his damn hardest against Seedot and Hoppip, but for also picking up a mate along the way. He raised his claws, and fired some quick jabs, in the same manner an eager boxer would.
"Alright, you can go first," I said, patting him on the back.
The Poison/Dark-type squeezed through the entrance, they were the exact same height. Once there was enough space, I went in, ducking down for a second or two until the ceiling raised. Once we were in deep enough, I heard a noise hiding in the darkness.
"Damn, I think it's a wild Pokemon!" I yelled, savoring the echo my voice made, "Ranger Hya, do you have a flashlight?"

The trainer takes a bite of the sour berry, and goes off to where the Armaldo is, without thanking the Ranger for the trouble of worrying about him.
"Typical," Hya mutters, too low for you to hear.
Nyurgh then calls forward his Scizor, telling her to cut off the vines that cluttered the entrance, and then he recalls her and sends Drapion to scout the little tunnel, following soon after.
"Damn, I think it's a wild Pokemon!" the young guy yells as he gets deeper in the tunnel and hears a Pokemon cry."Ranger Hya, do you have a flashlight?"
"Nope, sorry," he replies. "But there's no need for that, look, there's an exit already!" He points a finger toward to the light in front of you.
As you exit the tunnel, you marvel at the sight. A verdant clearing opens in front of you, surrounded by the high grass wall. A couple of trees rest around, projecting a resting shadow for whoever needed, and flower sprouted wildly from the ground, scattered to the four winds in a rainbow-ish fashion, spreading wide for the whole area. Small berry shrubs completed the view, with their juicy and almost pulsing array of different tasting fruits.
Next to you there's a pond, and you notice because something splashed water on your face. Merrily playing on its sides, three Pokemon use their abilities to wet as much as they can their opponent.
There's a small Budew, a yellow seed covered by two giant vines, that's using its arms lookalikes to suck in, then shoot water to a bigger sized yellow seed, that first deflects the water with a swing of its pink cherry petals, just to then shoot back at the playmate.
The Cherrim then pirouettes and then hits the pond's surface with a couple of shining leaves, creating a small wave that crashes on the third Pokemon, a puny Bellsprout, the small flytrap Pokemon protecting with the leaves it has in places of hands.
Elsewhere, you hear the annoyed cry of a Bulbasaur, busy with trying to defy an especially nasty Combee that's insistently provoking the bulb Pokemon, as well as trying to suck some nectar from said bulb.
Under a nearby tree, a lone Sunkern sits, looking rather dejected.

The change in scenery was breathaking. The trees and berries added a strange blend of colors to the overall palette. Suddenly water splashed in my face. I turned to find three Pokemon playing in the water, splashing each other. Then I heard an extremely familiar Pokemon Cry. I turned to see a Combee attacking a poor Bulbasaur. The Grass-type tried its hardest to protect the bulb on its back, but Combee was too relentless.
"Hey, cut it out you two!" I yelled
Of course, just aimlessly shouting at two wild Pokemon provides moot results. I watched the two Pokemon fight, and then heard the sound of a Bellsprout in the water. But I had to stay focused. Bulbasaur might be the closest thing to a Turtwig I'll be able to catch today. I turned my attention to the honeycomb Pokemon, and then to the Bulbasaur. If I only attacked Combee, Bulbasaur might escape. I shoved my hand in my pocket and quickly pulled out Scizor's Pokeball.
"Scizor, keep Bulbasaur busy with Fury Cutter! Drapion, let's nail Combee with a Crunch and Thunder Fang combo!" I yelled.
Scizor beat her wings fiercely, barely managing to hover off the ground. She began flailing her arms as she moved, viciously hacking at the air, her attack was gaining speed as she continued it. Her red metallic body hovered over Bulbasaur as she prepared to hack away at the bulb.
Scizor's insane hacking caused Combee to cautiously back away. By no means did it want to aggravate the pincer Pokemon. Of course, it had no way of noticing Drapion charging his attack. The ogre scorpion swiftly moved towards the floating insect. This special combination of attacks was especially fierce. Normally, when using Thunder Fang, the user has to charge up energy first, and then attempt to bite the target. But by catching them with Crunch, Drapion could just as easily leave the victim in his mouth and charge up the electricity right there. I anxiously awaited the light show that was sure to follow.

The steel mantis quickly flew to the bulb Pokemon, hacking her way to it with a barrage of Fury Cutters. Unnoticed by her, Combee decides to play a nasty trick on her, swiftly launching a Gust attack with its weak wings at the bug Pokemon as she failed to connect a consecutive hit due to the surprise.
The Bulbasaur took the bounce, and retreating a little due to the blow it received, produces a sprouting seed from its bulbous back, and standing on its first paws, aim it at the steel bug. At first, it seems to fail, but then the seed manages to somehow latch itself onto a nook in the red Pokemon's armor and finishes its blooming, starting to sap energy.
Snickering at the combined effects of its prank, the Honeycomb Pokemon barely acknowledges the Drapion that nears it, and that big mistake costed.
The poison Pokemon latches onto the bee, locking it into a steely grip inside his mouth, and then he releases sparks of electricity somehow hidden in the depths of his body, effectively electrocuting it to a KO.
The scene unsettingly remembered the ranger of an execution. "You know, there are non-violent ways to incapacitate a Pokemon or make it flee- like Roar or Scary Face. You don't have to be so brutal each time.
Scizor had to back away a little as the parasyte seed worked its magic.

"You know, there are non-violent ways to incapacitate a Pokemon or make it flee- like Roar or Scary Face. You don't have to be so brutal each time," the ranger said to me.
"Sorry, guess I took things too far," I replied scratching my cheek.
Scizor's health was slowly being drained. I had dealt with this move before, so I knew how to handle it.
"Drapion, mind cutting those vines off of Scizor?" I asked.
The purple scorpion slid the hooks of his hands under the vines, removing them from Scizor's metallic body. Of course, Drapion couldn't get into the nook where the seed had planted itself, so the best it could do was keep the vines from getting out of control.
"Scizor, we have to take care of Bulbasaur," I told her, "this is your fight, use X-Scissor. Drapion, if you see the vines start to sprout again, get rid of them."
Both Pokemon nodded, and Scizor began her attack. She folded her arms, gathering a pale green energy in her claws as she slowly floated towards the Bulb Pokemon. Drapion held his claws at the ready and stayed right behind his ally. If the Leech Seed showed any signs of further growth, the Ogre Scorpion would hack the vines away. Scizor finally charged her attack and flew to get Bulbasaur in range. She unfolded her claws, leaving a faint green "X" in the air that would hack at Bulbasaur.

OoC: sorryf or the long wait... never felt like it. Oh, and I forgot to add the damage to Scizor for Combee's gust. It's around 8%
Anyway, back on topic.

You order Drapion to stay out of the fight, but to help Scizor cutting off the vines. As gently as Drapion can, he can't help but scratch the already rather weak Scizor, weaking her further.
Scizor shrugs it off, and prepares to strike, a glow surrounding the red pinchers of the steel Pokemon as she hit off to the grass Pokemon.
Controlled, the small Pokemon quickly devised a strategy, raising itself on its front legs, bulb pointed at the incoming threat, and shot a spray of dazzling spores. Probably it'd hoped that she'd try to avoid them, so it carefully surveied her actions.
Too bad she wasn't the type to do that. She met the Stun Spore cloud head-on, throwing herself with her pincers recklessly, not considering the paralysis that was kicking in, and struck.
Bulbasaur was thrown back, a nasty gash on the bulb, that however wasn't oozing any juice out yet.
Scizor shruddered as the vines crept again and her health was again drained...

OOC: Lol, I must've missed this.
IC: Scizor looked like she was in bad shape. Not only had Drapion unintentionally scratched her, but she had received a paralysis from the spores on Bulbasaur's back. Leech Seed was starting to reveal itself again, and Drapion raised his claws to exorcise the seed.
"Drapion, stop," I said, pulling out his Pokeball, recalling the Ogre Scorpion, then I pulled out a second Pokeball, "Scizor, you're next."
After recalling both my Pokemon, I reached for two more Pokeballs. I released a blue-and-pink duck with a smooth body. The second Pokeball was an empty nature ball, one of four that I still had with me.
"Porygon2, if Bulbasaur escapes, use Discharge," I said, throwing the Pokeball, "Nature Ball, go!"
Porygon2 began storing energy inside its body, converting it into electricity which flowed around the Virtual Pokemon. The Pokeball swallowed the Bulb Pokemon, claiming it into its metal chamber. The ball began shaking around, a sign that Bulbasaur was still struggling.
"Porygon2, instead of using Discharge wildly, target the Pokeball if it pops back open," I told it, "we don't want to disturb any other Pokemon."
Discharge was an Electric-type move that discharged the stored energy. Usually it is unleashed in an uncontrollable burst, shocking anything in range. But Pokemon with a higher level of control over the attack can fire a think jolt. When that jolt hits a target, the electricity will pulse from the target instead of the user. The attack was incredibly effective in areas where the user cannot get enough distance from its allies.

You recall Drapion, then Scizor, and ready Porygon2 pokeball, along with an empty one.
The bulb Pokemon, however, didn't sit still, and instead focused, a light haze leaving the tip of its bulb and wafting around. You inhale a little of it, and it smells wonderfully good.
As soon as the Virtual Pokemon emerged, you threw the empty Pokeball to Bulbasaur, catching it unaware. Then you order Porygon2 to attack the Pokeball, should Bulbasaur escape.
The Pokeball wiggled on the ground, back and forth, until...
It opened.
Quickly, you urge the virtual duck to attack, but it seems distracted by the sweet aroma that the grass Pokemon previously produced. After a second yell, however, the Pokemon snaps out of it and charges, aiming... at the Pokeball. Yeah, it wasn't too focused honestly.
The Bulbasaur rolled out of the way as the concentrated jolt fast-forwarded to the spherical tool. The ball seems to absorb it at first, but then a couple of small cracks appear on the borders of the open tool. Nice job breaking it, hero!
Now- somewhat- safe, the grass and poison Pokemon arches its back, aiming for its now spent opponent, then shot a very big and nasty seed machine-gun, hitting it on the side.

OoC: you cannot reuse that same Parkball again, if you're wondering. Just for clearness sake, the attacks Bulbasaur used just now were Sweet Scent and Seed Bomb.

Porygon2 tried to avoid the large seed Bulbasaur had fired, but it was too distracted by the... soothing aroma that filled the air. The seed fired, hitting my Pokemon hard. I had to think of something, before Bulbasaur could get away. I couldn't project the electricity through a Pokeball, it was too fragile. Then I remembered another good conducter. I reached into my pocket and pulled out two Pokeballs.
"Drapion, Wartortle, I need your help!" I yelled, tossing the Pokeballs, and walking towards the ranger, "Wartortle, use Rain Dance. Drapion, give us some shelter."
We ducked as Drapion arched his body over us, shielding us from the rain. Once the attack stopped, I recalled both of my Pokemon. The ground around us was wet, moist enough to carry electricity.
"Porygon2, use Discharge," I said, "don't use your full strength, Bulbasaur's all wet, so you should be able to hit it harder. If you cant get Bulbasaur, hit the ground near him."
Porygon2 gathered energy, the yellow electricity sparked around its body. It fired a thin lightning bolt at Bulbasaur. It was at the perfect angle, in case Bulbasaur dodged, the wet ground would provide a proper area to discharge the energy.

OoC: ever heard the saying, "Who sows wind, reaps tempests"? Because that's what's gonna happen. First you can't stop the rain, and waiting until it stopped only would've meant your death, as in the meantime Bulbasaur can attack your puny Pokemon. Over and over and over and over again.
***
You summon Wartortle, and ask him to use Rain Dance. As if that's gonna happen. Oh, he's so going to do it, right. Without any incentive. Because he's just that respectful.
You manage to convince him to summon the rain, and take shelter under your Drapion, while you order Porygon2 to charge up a Discharge in the rain.
Oh, Bulbasaur was having none of it. As the rain started falling, vines crept from the sides of its bulb, latching onto the machine Pokemon and whacking it around as it charged up electricity.
Unable to hold back any longer, Porygon2 launchs an electric beam at its opponent, which was still connected to the virtual duck by the vines. Oops.
With the added effect of the rain, the Discharge attack shocks them both much, much harder than it would've done normally, and leaves them fried on the ground.

OoC: truly an amazing feat, I didn't think I could ever make a double ko happen- not so soon anyway. You seem to have misunderstood the "grass types can discharge Electric-type attacks" statement. I'll just say that not every Pokemon has the same characteristic, and that this defense they have heavily relies on a single characteristic- or move, to be exact. In my opinion, anyway. And by the way, Bulbasaur doesn't have it.
