Not to bad for a begginer.
But you could start with some tutorials.

Effects and Filters will help improve the banners appeal.

I suggest some c4ds.

Thanks. :)

Actually, All of them besides the slugma one are from tutorials. :)

But you could start with some tutorials.
Two of the banners look like it was a result from a GIMP banner tut, but you know, I could be wrong. Tutorials are good for anyone. =]

Anyhow, lets see here.
Text could use some different fonts and colors. I mean, it's not bad, simple (which is pretty good in some banners), but sometimes, you gotta use another kind of style or text. Adding depth would be cool for your work (or anyone's work). The first and last banner could use a better background. C4ds, smudging, brushes (sometimes), gradient maps are good for backgrounds, too. Focal points are kinda easier to point out if you add some depth. ^..^; Working with your image/stock/render would help, too with your banners. Renders can add effects if you know how to use 'em sometimes. Like Kayla said, adding c4d is a good suggestion. C4d add effects or backgrounds. What you don't want to do is use c4d to a bright banner, because it could make it brighter. What you're pretty good at is have your basic idea for your banner. =] Theme color seems to be your strength, as well, which is good, too.

I think that's all I have. XDD Sorry.

Hmmm, sometimes, to add depth, you can blur the background, and the focal point would be the render or something. I mean, I bet there's more way, but this is a simple way to add some depth. =]

*shameless advertising* (http://www.pokemonelite2000.com/forum/showthread.php?t=98216)

How long have you been doing graphic arts? I have to say, you're not too shabby. However I see that you lack depth, focal, light source and any kind of general effects.

Depth: Sharpen and blur some parts to add depth, and also adjust shadows and make the edges darker to bring out the focal point.

Focal: Where do you want your audience to look first? That's the focal. Make it brighter and sharper than the rest of the banner.

Light Source: Where is the light coming from? Make sure it makes sense.

Effects: Go to Premium Renders (www.premiumrenders.net) or Planet Renders (www.planetrenders.net) to find some C4Ds. Effect C4Ds (http://www.premiumrenders.com/gallery/category-c4d-effects-51) are great to add some wow factor. To use them, simply paste them in- black background and all- and set the layer to Screen, Lighten or Color Dodge. Abstract C4Ds (http://www.premiumrenders.com/gallery/category-abtract-renders-13/) are fantastic for both backgrounds and for adding some effect.

Overall, good job. I can't wait to see you grow.

Thanks for the help, everyone. :)

I played a bit w/ C4Ds and light sources. I think it's my best. No tut. :D

The Giratina banner, I think, is overall pretty good. :]

But, omg critique. I think your light source is kinda off, maybe it could be on Giratina's head or something. :x I also think Giratina is a little too dark, unless...you wanted it like that. The text is kind of hard to see too. One last thing; that bright red part right next to the text doesn't fit with the rest of the banner. D:

Once again, I think it's pretty good, especially cause you didn't use as tut for this one [I don't think I have made a banner without a tut recently, but maybe that's cause I suck. lol]. :3
