Default Re: Graceful_Suicune vs. sammy0295

Moonlight filtered down through the branches of ancient oaks and birches, giving just enough light for the two trainers to see each other and get a general idea of their surroundings. Sammy0295 was the first to make a move, nodding to a small bug-type that had alighted on a nearby tree branch. Kari the Ledian opened her wing case and buzzed quickly into the area between the two trainers, scattering a small amount of glittering powder as it went. Having seen this, Graceful_Suicune turned to into the darkness and waved forward her own pokémon. A spectral Misdreavus melted out of the shadows, glaring menacingly at Kari, who was a little taken aback by this mysterious arrival. The bug’s opponent was as much of a creature of the night as she was – if not more so.

Despite how taken aback she was, Kari managed to get her move in first. Her wings began to flutter more and more quickly, creating a heavy wind behind her. The wind whistled through the trees and ripped through the undergrowth. The Ledian felt the wind at her back with satisfaction, there was no chance of her opponent getting an attack in first now.

This satisfaction quickly evaporated, however, as she realised that the Misdreavus had disappeared while she was concentrating on her own move. Before she could plan ahead, Stormheart had reappeared beside her, blasting her with a ray of colourful energy. Ledian fell back under the onslaught, stunned and blinded. Flashing colours filled her vision and all she could hear was a monotonous roaring – this hadn’t gone as well as she’d thought.

Nevertheless, she was determined to claw back some form of advantage. Trying to ignore the fact that she could neither see nor hear, she began to beat her wings furiously to attain the fastest speed she possibly could. She was going so fast, in fact, that Stormheart could barely keep track of where she was, only able to see a red blur as the bug whizzed past her. Unfortunately, moving at a high speed with next to no idea of what is in front of you isn’t the best of ideas, and before Kari could finish her move, a tree branch came out of nowhere. She crashed into it, not having time to slow down or avoid it, and thudded down to the leaf-covered ground, making a gentle crunching noise as she hit it.

Stormheart grasped this opportunity with both hands (metaphorically, of course) and began to gather a ball of dark energy, forcing it into the smallest possible space to maximise its effect. An eerie giggle escaped the Misdreavus’ lips as she threw the ball at Kari, who was still struggling to get up. The dark energy forced the bug back to the ground, a scream echoing through the trees as she went. Stormheart continued to laugh, this was getting better and better for her.
