Exclamation Idea i have had, want to share it :)

Heya people :D

so ive been playing gameboy since i was like 10/11 years old.
thats 7 years of pokemon on gameboy and yes i have played on and off every year with a couple of months break thrown in now and then.

but you came because of my idea right?
well ive beat all the pokemon games several times, often wish there would have been a hard mode.

so my idea that me and my friends did was:

Can you beat the game using only one type

now this might be any of the types.
bug possibly being the hardest one :)

so yeah, the idea is to challenge your self to beat the game with your own restrictions.

Got another one.
If you are into link battles.
Do an old style pokemon stadium and have fixed teams.

a bunch of level 20s vs your mates level 20 team.
have teams around those levels.

level 10
level 20
level 30
level 40
level 50
... so on.

this way you can have loads of fun :D

That's a good idea, another way that's hard is to use only your starter, which I have done many times

What you're talking about has existed for years:
The Monotype Challenge

I've heard of that run somewhere before. Just catch the pokemon you want first, and after you have 6, catch HM Salvers.

Wow, I've lowered it to two, using my starter Charizard, and a Pidgeot beating the E4, but that seems challenging.

One I heard about, was using the items you need to progress. So like only HMs, no Rare Candies, no healing items etc.

Another one was No Blackout, if you blackout, you lose.

Another one, which seems impossible, is to do the whole game without saving.

That's similar to one of the mistakes I made as a Pokemon Blue-playing newb, training my Blastoise to about level 60 by the time I reached Vermillion City while my rattata and pidgey remained at level 24-30...!!

That, I believe, would only work in the case of a real gameaholic...
