I'm pretty sure Raikou is "Rai-koo" - at least, in the Pokemon Chronicles Legend of Thunder (or w/e it was called), it's pronounced like that, as far as I remember.

I used to, as a young kid, pronounce Kyogre "Kai-rowg" (as if it were spelled "Kyrogue"). It wasn't until the anime that I learned it was Kyogre.

I also pronounced Dialga "Dai-ahl-gah", but I'm pretty sure now it's "Dee-ahl-gah" (it was in the Darkrai movie, right?)

And it's always been "Ray-quay-za" to me. It's pretty hypocritical to call someone arrogant for pronouncing it that way.

I honestly don't think pronounciation is the most important part of Pokemon. Granted, there are some names that have a specific way of being pronounced but for the rest I think of it like Toe-may-toe and toe-mah-toe. Either way is right, and nobody should be able to bash you for saying it a certain way. As for my pronounciation, brace yourselves. I was born and raised in Boston Mass. but moved to New York when I was 10, so my way of speaking is quite wierd.

Rattata = Ruh-tat-uh
Raikou = Rai-koo
Sceptile = Sep-tile
Kyogre = Kai-o-ger (hard g sound)
Groudon = Gru-don
Rayquaza = Ray-qua-za
Uxie = oohx-ee (ooh as in ooh ee ooh ah ah like a monkey)
Dialga = Dee-al-ga (al pronounced like the nickname Al, short for Alan)
Palkia = Pahl-key-a
Giratina = Gear-a-tina
Arceus = Ar-see-us
Reshiram = Resh-ee-ram
Kyurem = Kai-ooh-rem

When I was younger, Suicune was "Soo ee cine" and Kyogre was "Kee Oh Gray [which sounds much better]", I also pronounced Phanpy as "Fan-fee" and still do, to this day. More recent mispronunciations include Uxie as "Uhcks-ee", I never would have guessed it was pronounced "Yewcks-ee" and Arceus as "Ar-Say-Us".

I pronouce most of the ones you have listed the same way...

& my outlook is similar... Especially since I don't actually converse about pokemon to anyone out loud... just online... It doesnt really matter if I mispronouce them, as long as I spell them right, yall will know which one im talking about...lol

Ooh, new one. I used to pronounce Mismagius as 'mis-mage-ee-us', instead of 'mis-mahg-ee-us".
