Movie Title: Digimon: The Movie
Year Released: October 6, 2000
Director: Terri-Lei O'Malley (USA/CANADA), Mamoru Hosoda & Shigeyasu Yamauchi (Japan)
Cast:
Lara Jill Miller - Kari
Joshua Seth - Tai
Doug Erholtz - T.K.
Colleen O'Shaughnessey - Sora
Philece Sampler - Mimi Tachikawa/Cody/Matt Ishida/T.K.'s grandmother
Mona Marshall - Izzy/Terriermon
Michael Lindsay - Joe/Greymon
Michael Reisz - Matt Ishida
Bob Glouberman - Willis
Brian Donovan - Davis

Story/Plot: Ah Digimon, Digital Monster. The story was shown in 3 parts. First part was (If my memory is correct) from the TV show; when TK and Kari first make contact with Digimon. The 2nd part takes place six months to roughly a year after the first Digidestined left the Digiworld. With out spoiling the whole plot, lets just say they run into trouble with a bad ass virus digimon take is trying to destroy the human world threw the internet. Finally the last part takes place during the 2nd season of Digimon. The style they made this movie plot wise was truly something I have never seen before and after seeing all the other digimon movies; This one takes the cake for most epic plot.

Voices: The voices sounded like the show besides Terriermon/Gargomon sounded nothing like season's 3 version of Terriermon.

CGI Animation: The animation is the same as the shows.

Overall:
After watching this with in my old VCH player with the kid I babysit. It reminded me off the good old days when Digimon and Pokemon Cards were my life. Its still a amazing movie to date. This one is the best Digimon movie out there; the rest well... major crap! I would only recommend this movie if you have seen the 1st and 2nd season of digimon!

Movie Title: Extreme Movie
Year Released: December 5, 2008 (limited)
Director: Adam Jay Epstein/Andrew Jacobson
Cast:
Ryan Pinkston - Mike
Michael Cera - Fred
Frankie Muniz - Chuck
Jamie Kennedy - Mateus
Matthew Lillard - Matthew Lillard

Story/Plot: Before I start off, I found the original title well searching for the cast's name. The original script title was called "Everything You Always Wanted to Know About Teen Sex... But Were Afraid to Ask". That tittle sums up the whole plot of the movie. The story is told threw a lot of short sketches and all of them talking about sex and drugs.

Acting: Acting in this movie was pretty good. They were all very funny.

Overall: Overall... It is a really bad idea to play this movie when there are little kids in the room. Every second is about SEX SEX SEX! I found it very funny but noticed it didn't have a real plot. It was just a bunch sex themed sketches (The kind you would find on Mad TV). If you are a fan of Mad Tv or Boobs then you have to watch it.

Spoiler:

So I decided to do another movie review after hearing they're doing a remake of this. @___@

Death at a Funeral
2007
Directed by Frank Oz.

[Matthew Macfadyen] - [Daniel]
[Rupert Graves] - [Robert]
[Peter Dinklage] - [Peter]
[Alan Tudyk] - [Simon]
[Daisy Donovan] - [Martha]
[Kris Marshall] - [Troy]
[Ewen Bremner] - [Justin]
[Peter Vaughan] - [Uncle Alfie]
[Andy Nyman] - [Howard]
[Jane Asher] - [Sandra]
[Keeley Hawes] - [Jane]
[Peter Egan] - [Victor]
[Thomas Wheatley] - [The Reverend]

Somewhere in England, Daniel's father has just passed away. On the day of the funeral, the family gathers for a quaint service. However, trouble begins when Robert, Daniel's brother as well as famous author, is not chosen to write the eulogy. Instead, the task is left to Daniel, despite hurtful remarks made from varied family members.

Amongst the brewing turmoil are more intricate plots involving Daniel's cousin Martha, and her new fiancée, Simon. Simon is accidentally given a hallucinogenic drug by Martha's brother, Troy, who uses being a pharmacy student as a cover for running a drug operation.

All the while, Justin (who is currently pursuing Martha's affections) and Howard have to take care of Uncle Alfie, a cantankerous old man who will take any and all chances to insult everyone around him.

When everyone meets for the funeral service, a dwarf named Peter appears. Hilarity ensues when a hallucinating Simon leaps onto the coffin, screaming that someone's alive in there. Peter then reveals his true nature to the brothers, by blackmailing them over one of their father's secrets. In an attempt to hush Peter, Daniel and Robert force drugs down his throat and accidentally "kill" him. Fearing prosecution, the brothers try to hide the body - resulting in even more slapstick comedy and dark humor.

Acting:
The acting is phenomenal in Death at a Funeral. The way each family member interacts with one another will remind you of your own quirky, offbeat family. You have the cranky old man who makes everyone miserable, the older sibling who always outdoes the younger, the worried mother, harping wife, drugged out cousin, new in-law... It's like your family reunion on a DVD.

Each of the actors pull off an amazing characterization, most notably Alan Tudyk and Peter Vaughan for the ridiculous humor they bring to the stage. Everyone should have gotten an Emmy or something.

Overall Opinion:
I decided to write this review for two reasons. The first, is that it is my favorite British film. The second, is that later on this year, they're going to do an American remake starring Chris Rock... Yes. Chris Rock; so you know the film will be terrible. (Although, Peter Dinklage will return in his original roll, albeit supporting a new hairdo and mustache).

The original movie which debuted in 2007 is pure comedic gold, which should be watched by the American audiences. I encourage all humorists to watch this movie, as the family interactions are so believable and the dialogue so fantastic, that you'll become as attached to the film as I am.

This is such a great film, that I recommend seeing it before the lame American version comes to theaters. Buy it on DVD!
Though as a precaution, I should say that not all foreign films work in American DVD players... >_<

In fact, you can even watch it here, if you don't mind asian subtitles;
Death at a Funeral.
:D

Okay, here's something I could get active in. I get intimidated talking about music but I can rant and rave about movies all day.

Name: Steph (sheepskinfuton)
Age: 17
5 Favorite Movies: I can't pick just five, but I guess I'd have to say The Shining, the old Batman saga (yes, even the ones directed by Joel Schumacher), Running with Scissors, Mars Attacks, Kung Pow- Enter the Fist
3 Favorite Movie Genres: Suspense/Thrillers, Dark Comedies, B-movie parodies

We can basically review anything as long as it's not like, porn, right? P:

No, porn is most definitely acceptable on a website directed towards children. :P[/SARCASM]

I'm thinking about doing a review for Dragon Ball: Evolution, because most reviews for it are total rubbish.

Movie Title: American Pie
Year Released: 1999
Director: Chris Weitz and Chris Moore
Cast: Jason Biggs, Thomas Ian Nicholas, Tara Reid, Mena Suvari, and Eugene Levy.

Story/Plot: The whole plot of the movie is that 4 High School Seniors make a promise to lose their virginity vefore they graduate. They make this promise because a nerdy classmate of theirs got head at a party they attended.

Acting: The acting was pretty goid. Jason Biggs really showed his funny side in the movie. Overall, the acting was superb.

Overview This is a must watch! I wouldn't reccomend watching it around kids though since pretty much in every scene theres something sexual said/performed. If you like Superbad or Knocked Up, then you'll love American Pie!
