How do u think Gen V will start?

What I think is that after the Sinnoh League is over and Ash goes back to Pallet Town to see his Mom, get his new outfit and talk to Prof Oak.

I think that while he gets his new pokemon to meet his others

One of his pokemon for eg. Heracross (coz it doesnt evolve) evolves and when ash checks his pokedex it says does not exist and the oak tells ash that many new pkmn have been discovered in johto and he "starts again" but takes probably pikachu, his evolved heracross, and maybe gible bcoz it wasnt there enough, he'll probs leave buizel at oaks and also take torterra and infernape but in the middle of the series torterra and infernape go to oak's bcoz ash catches new pkmn.

Also I'm wondering on a different basis, with the new pokemon that are being made, will it be a full another gen of pokemon like new starters, legendaries and normals

Of course it will. They have done this formula for the previous four generations.

I don't watch the anime, so I really don't have an opinion on that, though.

well actually

didnt they say it was back in johto so it wud proably still be chickorita, totadile and cyndaquil, although i cud be wrong

I don't think gen 5 will be back in Johto. It'll be a whole new region.

Depending on how long they drag out the anime it's possible they may visit Johto somewhere inbetween until the new games are released (kind of like with the Battle Frontier in Kanto), but other than that, it'll take place in a new region, with new Pokemon and legends!

I like your idea for going to the new region though. =) I do think he'd get rid of all his Sinnoh Pokemon straight away though rather than take them with him for any longer.

Will they switch out the female character from Dawn to the new HGSS Lyra?
if so I'll have to learn how to draw her chibi for my new chibi pic!

A LOT has been revealed from leaks.

There are three new starters: Tsutarja, Mijumaru, and Pokabu. The new region's name is Isshu.
There is a new girl, I'm afraid not Lyra even though that would be awesome. The new girl's name is Iris.
Ash and Pikachu are going to the new region, however no other Pokemon have been confirmed except one of Iris's (yet unnamed) and one of Jessie's (yet unnamed)
Yeah, Team Rocket will be there too.

The surprise: Brock won't be coming. This leads me to believe he may finally fulfill his Pokemon breeder dream :D
