Default Completely outmatched

I don't know if anyone caught this episode, but it was during a doubles tournament. In one particular match Ash and some other guy went up against two other people I don't know. However, the identity of any of the trainers isn't really important.

What IS important is that a Metagross and Zangoose were beaten by a Turtwig and a HURT Chimchar!

It's sad. The writers are so focused on pleasing the fan-base that they will let any low level pokemon beat a powerhouse. Right when the Metagross was introduced into battle I knew it should've been a massacre.

That obviously didn't happen. Neither the Turtwig or Chimchar were defeated, and may I remind you that the Chimchar was hurt >.>

Someone please go find the writers of this show and hurt them.

Yea, I just saw this too, he was battling with Paul ;D

The writers have been doing this forever, xD...

They always make Pokemon that are week to the other type win...

Pikachu has beat a ton of ground types when it shouldn't have honestly...

But you con't blame the writers, they're just making the plot more fun =/

Lol, yeah, Pikachu uses Thundershock on Rock Type Pokemon countless times in the series, and it works... Which is really stupid.

The English/American versions must have been lost in translation compared to the *** eps.

I remember in the first movie very clearly Pikachu took out a Golem with a Thundershock. That's not exciting at all. x_x
They should get a challenge for once. In the games, Pikachu is weak, In the anime Pikachu is a god. I don't get it.

Perhaps all of the battling Pikachu has been through? You're right though, that shouldn't had happend, but I guess we're all going to have to deal with it...

Yeah, but the writers just have to please the fanbase.

And another thing that bugs me..

Team Rocket interferes at every chance. It got annoying after the fourth or fifth time. They only prolong gym battles, and tournament battles, which are two of the only reasons I actually watch it.

I don't know why, but this comic popped into my mind while reading that.

The only thing that boggles my mind is why Jesse and James haven't been shot in the head after wasting millions of dollars of Team Rockets money trying to get A FREAKING PIKACHU.

oh, you crazy and stupid writers.

Well. It is obvious why they didn't get shot in the head. It's for kids. That's why they banned the episode when Ash, Misty, Brock, and Pikachu went into a PokeMart and the man put the gun to Ash's head.

These things can lead to violence and make kids think it is alright. Especially since they cannot control themselves most of the time because of what they call "Exciting." I must say that Jesse and James should have gotten in trouble by Giovanni. Speaking of Giovanni, he hasn't talked to them in a while. Wonder why...

Anyway, back on the situation at hand. I saw that episode not too long ago. Fire type attacks are Super effective to Metagross. Nonetheless, I thought that Chimchar should've at least lost. I didn't think the episode was bad at all though to tell you the truth...

Btw, Pikachu's are like Gods in the Anime! Ash & Pikachu forever! Lol.

Pikachu is a little overpowered in the series, I bet Meowth could whoop Pikachu's butt if it wanted too...

Well also in the anime pokemon can use moves to counter moves ex. blastoise using rapid spin to deflect moves as seen in one of the tournaments , so theres always been a big difference between the games and the anime.

Now why they do this where they let the underdog win is because it inspires people and promotes good kind beautiful things and all that happy stuff.

I can understand the whole underdog bit, but if the underdog is constanlty winning, isn't he no longer an underdog?

Yeah, this bothers me also. But what really gets me is the fact that it takes ash, like, 15 episodes to get to a new town, and like, 30 to get to a new gym. I mean, it took him SOOOOO long to get to Veilstone. I mean, in the game, you are supposed to be direct, and go on a path to a new city. Not ash. He goes from Eterna, to Hearthome, then Solaceon, then Celestic town, then FINALLY he arrives in veilstone city. You can't tell what way he goes. Brock is one horrible guide if you ask me.
