The Nintendo Japan site also had the same video of Pokemon Emerald that the official Japanese Pokemon website has (refer to the "Pokemon Emerald Video!" news on 07/24/04). However, the file on Nintendo Japan can be downloaded straight to the computer, instead of a streaming. Here's the video for those that want to download it:

New Pokemon Emerald Screenshots!

Here are some screenshots of Pokemon Emerald released by the official Japanese Pokemon website. To view all the screenshots, just go to the Pokemon Emerald page: Pokemon Emerald.

 

Pokemon Emerald will be released in Japan on September 16th, 2004. Currently, there is no release date for the US for Pokemon Emerald. There will be new features, like the Pokemon Frontier, which offers seven different battles types. So far, there two are revealed: Battle Dome (tournament with three Pokemon) and Battle Tube (choose three entrances).

Playable Demo of Emerald Available at Pokemon Festa 2004!

Receive a CDROM at Pokemon Festa 2004 (Includes footage of Pokemon Emerald)

 

Fans attending Pokemon Festa 2004 in Japan will have a special chance to play Pokemon Emerald. The event runs from July 17th thru August 15th. The event will bring together fans to battle on the video games and TCG. There will also be live stage events and games to win prizes.

Rayquaza Themed GBA SP!

Yet another Pokemon themed GBA SP will be released, this time for Rayquaza. The Rayquaza themed GBA SP will be released in Japan on August 16th, 2004. The retail price is 12,500 yen (about $115 US Dollars).

 

There's a Groudon and Kyogre themed GBA SPs, but it seems to have sold out. The exclusive items to Pokemon Center NY are listed as "SOLD OUT" at their website. Each going for $99.95.

 

It's not known yet if the Rayquaza GBA SP will be released here in the US.

We now have magazine scans featuring the next Pokemon game: Pokemon Emerald.

Pokemon Emerald!

Get ready for Pokemon Emerald.

 

The next Pokemon game is confirmed, and it's Pokemon Emerald. So far, we have a magazine scan, but that issue won't be out until July 17th, 2004. The magazine is called "Pokemon Wonderland." The issue featuring Pokemon Emerald is volume 2.

In the image, you'll see the logo for Pokemon Emerald, the logo is a similar design like Ruby/Sapphire and FireRed/LeafGreen. On the top right of the logo, it seems that the characters will be Brendan and May.

 

Not much is known about the game, except that it's coming. We'll learn more about Pokemon Emerald when the issue comes out. Check back here in the news for any updates on Pokemon Emerald.
