PE2K Staff - Now Hiring!

Pokemon Elite 2000 (PE2K), has been
around since August 2000. Over six years later, PE2K continues to provide
information and help to Pokemon fans all over the world. As Pokemon continues
to grow, PE2K will also grow and we look forward to the new challenges ahead.
PE2K is looking for talented individuals
to join the PE2K staff. This is a great volunteer opportunity for any Pokemon fan looking
to gain valuable experience and help out the Pokemon community. Check the
available job listings below and apply. To apply for a job, please send an
email with the subject: "PE2K Staff - (Job Title Goes Here)." In the email,
please include the following basic information: 1) Name, 2) Age, 3) Location
(Country/State). In the email, explain why you are qualified for the job and
provide samples of your work or previous work. A resume format that includes
all this information are welcomed, but not required.

Available Job Listings
Pokemon Video Game - Strategy Editor
Pokemon Video Game - Strategy Editors are responsible for writing strategy
articles or guides relating to the Pokemon Video Games that will be featured
on the website. Knowledge of HTML is not required, however, you should be able
to write and proofread your own article and make it available on a text file,
Word file, email, or forum format. Please provide a sample of your work when
applying. - Experience in NetBattle is preferred.
- Experience in an official competition is a plus.
Pokemon Video Game -
Information/Guides Editor Information/Guide Editors are
responsible for writing informative articles or guides on the Pokemon Video
Games. Such responsibilities may include creating: walkthroughs, in-depth
information guides, and FAQs (Frequently Asked Questions). Knowledge of HTML
is not required, however, you should be able to write and proofread your own
work and make it available on a text file, Word file, email, or forum format.
Please provide a sample of your work when applying. -
Experience writing guides is preferred.
Pokemon Video Game - Reviews Editor
Review editors are responsible for writing reviews of the Pokemon video games.
Knowledge of HTML is not required, however, you should be able to write and
proofread your own review and make it available on a text file, Word file,
email, or forum format. Please provide a sample of your work when applying.
- Ability to point out the pros/cons of a game is a must.
- Experience writing reviews is preferred.
Pokemon TCG - Strategy Editor Pokemon
TCG - Strategy Editors are responsible for writing strategy articles or guides
relating to the Pokemon TCG that will be featured on the website. Knowledge of
HTML is not required, however, you should be able to write and proofread your
own work and make it available on a text file, Word file, email, or forum
format. Please provide a sample of your work when applying. -
Experience in an official competition is preferred.
Graphics - Artist Artists are
responsible for creating various graphics for the site, such as: banners,
buttons, news art, and so on. Please provide a sample of your work when
applying. - Ability to produce hand drawn art is a plus.
- Ability to produce flash is a plus.
Graphics - Fan Artist Fan artists are
responsible for creating Pokemon fan art for display on the site (not
spriting). Since this is a gallery showcasing your work on the site,
previously created work are welcomed as well. Please provide a sample of your
work when applying. - Must have at least 20 different art
pieces for consideration. Pokemon
Fan Fiction - Fan Fiction Writer Fan fiction writers are
responsible for creating Pokemon fan fiction for display on the site. Since
this is a gallery showcasing your work on the site, previously created work
are welcomed as well. Knowledge of HTML is not required, however, you should
be able to write and proofread your own work and make it available on a text
file, Word file, email, or forum format. Please provide a sample of your work
when applying. - Completed fan fiction already available for
display is a plus. - Stories that are almost completed or
near completed is a plus.
Administration - Assistant Webmaster Assistant webmasters
are responsible for the general content available on the website. Please
provide a sample of your work when applying. - Knowledge of
HTML is a must. - Ability to adapt to PE2K's style of pages
is preferred. Translator -
Japanese/English Japanese to English translators are
responsible for translating various Japanese text into English, such as, text
from the official Japanese Pokemon website and gaming magazine Coro Coro.
Knowledge of HTML is not required, however, you should be able to write and
proofread your own work and make it available on a text file, Word file,
email, or forum format. Please provide a sample of your work when applying.
- Fluent in Japanese/English is a must. -
Availability on instant messengers for quick translations for news articles is
a plus. Events -
Reporter/Photographer Reporters/Photographers are
responsible for covering various Pokemon events. Taking pictures is the bare
minimum. Knowledge of HTML is not required, however, you should be able to
write and proofread your own work and make it available on a text file, Word
file, email, or forum format. Please provide a sample of your work when
applying. - Taking pictures of events is a must.
- An article describing the event is preferred.
